At last, managed to catch the whole match after missing the first few minutes due to "satellite transmission problem". Lee produced a masterful performance and outclassed Peter in two straight sets, 21-12 and 21-18. In the 2nd game,Lee actually (the way I see it) gave away a few points and played some exhibition stuff to make the scoreline more respectable for Gade as well as entertained the crowd. Throughout the match,Lee executed a number of tricky deceptive shots that won the praises of the commentators and wowed the audience,me included. I've no doubt tonight's final match between the two Heavenly Kings will see badminton of the highest quality. Lin Dan will have to be at his best to beat Lee CW, as I believe the two are on par in skills except that Lin Dan is mentally the stronger of the two but with nothing to lose for Lee CW, the latter has equal chance to win the match. I think Lin Dan's mental superiority can be attributed to his having won practically all the major titles and his commanding head-to-head lead over Lee CW who I'm sure will want to win this one as he's still hungry to win and has a point to prove. Psychologically, neither player will want to let his opponent gain a mental boost with an eye to the London Olympics. Expect a hard-fought,thrilling and beautiful match tonight, as usually happens when this two titans clash - isn't that what everyone concerned wish for?
I missed the Lin Dan-Taufik Hidayat match;when I turned on the computer and found out about the live streaming,it's already over. Anybody has recorded and uploaded the match, kindly share with the rest of us?
Me too,I always thought badminton is more popular, with Lin Dan voted best sportsman award, most valuable player award, etc this couple of years.
If I'm not wrong, you may need at least 2.5 to 3 Mbps of broadband speed/bandwidth to get it working properly. Check with your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or run some speedtest available online(do a search) to test yours;in some countries(mine is),you can download for free a speedtest software from your ISP to check the broadband speed you're actually getting for what you paid for.
I agree with the income part but I think the sponsor should sponsor a tournament rather than holding an exhibition match with only 4 players and 3 matches. At least the best 8 players. And given a choice to watch, I rather watch the best Men doubles pairs than the men singles legend. I prefer something like Osim who becomes title Super series sponsor.
someone please record it and upload it here... i can't watch now, as my internet connection is really slow...
