LCW will be getting one match less on his way to the finals, compared to the others. JOJ with the by far toughest route to victory. IF he clinches the gold, he would probably have defeated the best opponents ever in a single tournament. Must, Leverdez, Srikanth, LD, LCW and then CL or VA. With CTC in the top half, it seems stronger than the lower half. But this is really an open one, any of the top guys can take it. I'm feeling JOJ's chances got a bit smaller with this draw though. CL could seem to have got the easy draw, but SWH is no early walkover, and I think VA will be prepared for him in the semi final, with good preparation by grandmaster Jonassen
GB players have a tough draw, good luck! Kindest regards, -Ajay- Quote of the Day We can learn much from wise words, little from wisecracks, and less from wise guys.
Out of the top 4 seeds, Axelsen has the toughest group but the easiest way to SF if he were to win the group
