Wow that seems so crude hahahaha. Like they sanded down the jaws and drilled and tapped one side to put the removing pin. At that price I'd prefer the YY tool tbh. Pay some more but better design hehe. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
So what's the best way to clear the grommet hole partially blocked by a broken grommet? Seems like some small leftovers of the broken grommet is still stuck in that one hole of my AX88 that's why a grommet can't fit in there. I removed the 3-4 U-grommet frm the other side of the racket and tried fitting it in the blocked hole and it won't go through
If you have a straight awl to dig it out that would help. Do you have a picture? Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
Looks like this outside, no parts debris can be seen but the grommet just wouldn't got through like something is blocking it.
I finally nailed the problem (literally speaking) I couldn't find a thin enough wood screw so I thought, why not a nail instead? Whew. Now I just need to look for an extra grommet so that i can finally have my AX88 strung. See that nasty little snot popping out of the hole? TADAAAAA!!!
Tool has arrived today and it looks very promising: Pretty much exactly what I was hoping for. A screw with a handle. Looking forward to trying it soon!
Nice. It is for removing a grommet correct? I also saw this one in aliexpress and looks good for cleaning out a hole with broken grommet debris. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Fre...pm=a2g0s.13010208.99999999.267.49763c00NPMdYW
Poison cobra of stringing tutorial? He literally is one high-strung tutor, probably around 40lbs Sent from my SM-J320F using Tapatalk
It's quite common practice in Asia country such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Vietnam. Some stringers just lazy Sent from my MI 5 using Tapatalk
This preweaving and tensioning the mains from right to left is also spotted here in Germany. Also one of the Ellis bros did it proudly in a video. Shared something like this years ago. I have seen some people who came to me having this pattern. I normally refuse any racket which has it. Stress got lead to the 3/9 o'clock position and the frame is not symmetrical. IMO some people simply shouldn't string if they think it's easy and foolproof.
Ok, so excuse my stringing ignorance but, does it affect in any way the racket in terms of structural integrity or better playability? Sent from my SM-J320F using Tapatalk
I would say it does completely. The racket head is designed to be strung starting from the middle mains and progressively outwards before going to the crosses. Starting at the crosses will end up giving you a warped head with uneven tension. I've never tried that before but I can only give an educated guess where your frame with uneven tension is highly more likely to eventually break on a hard enough shot or if a line snaps. I can't even begin to guess whether there's an effect on the sweetspot or not. But from the last time I tried my warped JS10 before throwing it, I can only say that the racket played super weirdly. Shuttle impacts didn't feel right for any racket I've ever tried. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
