If RI feels she is fit to play despite her injury and against her doctor's advice, she is responsible for her own decision. Her injury may get worse during or after her match today against her Taiwanese opponent and this may delay her recovery and cause her to miss important tournaments down the road. History has shown that even injured players can win especially with tremendous support from the home fans. Sure, she is young and is expected to recover earlier than someone older with a similar injury. But is the price worth the win?
I think it's more because she feels obliged to the home fans. She gets to play only once a year in front of them.
After Irfan/Weni won the Australia Open GPG, it's now time for Riky Widianto/Richi Puspita Dili to win a GPG title! They are off to a great start...leading 11-2 in just 3 mins.
Rikcy/Richi's rank will raise to #11 by next week. They'll meet Sudket/Saralee in the 1st round of INA Open. They have big chance to reach QF. INA is nearly has 5 XD pairs in top 10.
Yeah, but which of them are gonna close the gap to the 2 Chinese pairs? That's the big Q... apart from ToLyn...
young IND lad K. Srikanth has a chance of making it to his first GPG finals, today. Let's see if he can do it. So far, he's won all his matches in straight games...

Riky Widianto/Richi Puspita Dili reach their second Final this year as they beat Takeshi Kamura/Koharu Yonemoto 21-8, 21-16.
No, not bad, but how consistently can they go into the finals, and more importantly, how many of those can they convert into finals wins? There's a reason why the CHN pairs are sitting on top of the rankings...
Nitya/Greysia lead 14-8 in game 1 Busanan leads 21-17, 13-9 against Gu Juan. If Busanan wins this and her WD match as well later today, she's gonna be a busy, busy Busyanan tomorrow!
