It will be a clean sweep .......

Yup, can't see how Boonsak and the MAS girls can go against convention this time.

this is pretty darn incredible. aside from Du/Yu's walkover to the Singaporean pair. China will have their first match loss of the whole tournament at the final, where all the loss will likely to be to their own compatriot.

I couldn't agree more, unless BP plays over his head or LD has an off day, it looks like a clean sweep for China. I've been to the Thailand Open everyday this week and LD is one impressive player. BP is going to have an advantage with the hometown crowd cheering him along, but I don't see BP pulling off the upset. Anything can happen.

i think Xie/Zhang and He/Yu will play seriously today.... i believe LYB still has the right to make changes in the player list to Olympic... :)

It will be a close affair but I think Lin Dan will win. I watched how BP played yesterday and he almost lost to Yan Kit from HK. With the crowd behind his back, maybe BP can still rise to the occasion to give a close fight. Lets see.

After deciding to have a thin presence at the Singapore Open and the Indonesia Open, it would be a hugely embarrassing letdown for China (and a psychological blow too) to lose anything at the underrated Thailand Open.

I wouldn't be suprised if Lin Dan has an attack of nerves when facing Boonsak Ponsana

no wonder badminton is going to be dropped from Olympic Games after 2012. Only dominated by one country most of the time...who to blame? CHN or other countries?

I don't know anything about that article.
    Honestly, it's jamesd20 who wrote it ;)

By the way, someone has been stalking players at Jakarta's malls.
Now, who would that be? :D

He3, Shenron, dont u know that in 2 previous tourney no CHN's domination. And surely today CHN will make a clean sweep coz no main players from INA, MAS, KOR, DEN, ENG, NET, etc.

YW/ZJW have been struggling in form lately. This would be an interesting match and I would not be surprised if the match dragged into a rubber but the top seeds will still prevail at the end...

CHN has eyes for only 2 matches: MS and WD. As they're already guaranteed the MD, WS and XD titles, the focus is obviously on the other 2. It would be a monumental upset if CHN did lose them. Boonsak, while an accomplished player, is still one level below LD. If their head-to-head record holds true, WPT/CEH will be cannon fodder for YW/ZJH.

Now if LD, by some chance, loses, I suspect we'll hear the predictable barrage of excuses offered by their sorry fans instead of giving Boonsak credit. I hope I am proven wrong.
