They "look" like hard-to-defeat players when TH is absent or when TH is not in their way..... Taufik, " the Pencak Silat" master" will be waiting for you, guys (the 4 Chinese " Shaolin" masters ) in ABC. Don't run away and hide....
how about boxing then? since silat and shaolin kungfu already come out from you guys mouth.....kekekekekkeke.....
I was pondering how to do this presentation at the office, and check out BC on a break....Indra, thanks for the stress relief, you make me laugh and gave me a mental stress relief, you are hilarious! LOL!
Why they are all preparing for Sudirman cup? I think there is only 1 single player needed for Sudirman. At most, they need two as the 2nd one as a backup. But China has 5 top players (if Chen Hong counted), not all of them preparing for Sudirman. I think the reason is that ABC is never important for China national team, they have never send their top team their before. Even Lin Dan went there before and beat Taufik twice (not in the IBF database), Lin Dan was there because that time he was a Junior player. So I think China will send their 2nd team there as usual.
LI Yongbo said there will be none player from CHINA in ABC 2007. Some key players will play in Singapore S.S. and Indonesia S.S.. -------(YESTERDAY)
MALAYSIA is fielding her strongest troop to Johor Bahru for ABC. And if they still don't win any title, IM SPEECHLESS.. (cuz of the absence of CHN...)
i think ABC title is nth to CHN players... tats wad i think... except for their junio players i think... they never field their strongest players here..
We know from the past that the ABC is not taken very seriously. It's no surprise that Chinese players are giving it a miss. Malaysia, as hosts, are of course obligated to field a strong team. I hope other other countries (India, Japan, Korea, Indonesia etc.) will field their strong teams as well.
yes, I hope we can win at least ONE title. If possible, win 3 titles to improve further than last year 2 titles.
If all the other Asian countries(without China) are to sent their best teams over to ABC, then my prediction for winners would be: MS: Taufik Without the top players from CHN and Denmark, who's going to stop Taufik(if he is in shape) from winning this time. LCW can do it only if he pulls some sort of magic trick out of his sleeve, or Taufik just feels sorry for beating him for the 3rd time in a roll + now in front of his home crowd. MD: KKK/TBH It's pretty obvious that at the moment, they are the safest bet of winning. WS: Korea's top women single(can't remember her name) Korea has always produce good quality Women singles players, and as long as no Chinese top players (XXF, ZN, ZL, etc), Korea's top single should prevail. WMC may be a dark horse, but not a hot favorite in my book. WD: Korea's Lee/Lee. As usual, they own tournaments that no CHN pairs are involved. XD: again another pair with the same last names Lee/Lee. Almost no top pairs to compete with, only if Nova and partner decides to show up, but when talk about consistency, I rather bet on the Lee/Lee pair.
the inshape taufik is gonna be very hard to beat... his technique skills makes the match rather boring because it slows down the pace.. but when you watch carefully, you'll see the genius behind the moves... his quickness is gone, gotta rely on skills and smarts.. KKK/TBH - they will be the best bet to win ABC.. but maybe INA has the most MD that will go to the SF...lol considering the number of their MD's
Only 3 members from the PBSI senior squad will be competing at the ABC: Taufik Hidayat and Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa. The rest will be junior players like Tommy Sugiarto, Aprillia Yuswandari, and others. Likely names include: Yoga Ukikasah/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki, Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan, Fernando Kurniawan/Subakti, Nitya Krishinda/Nadya Melati. As for Djarum, I am not sure if they will send Rian Sukmawan/Eng Hian and Sigit Budiarto/Frans Kurniawan.
for INA, i think they can only rely on TH, RS/EH, SB/FK... cuz lots of their players are giving it a skip as well...
Agreed The Koreans will mount a strong challenge I rate Wang Chen to be my top favourite. Yippy, Cheng Shao-Chieh, Saina, Eriko, Salakjit, Wong MC, Hwang HY, Salakjit also in for a shout (top Indons won't be competing). Assuming they are competing. Agreed
I am not sure about who will be in ABC but but I am sure some Chinese players are taking part. According to the news from Trax FM, ( A Malaysia Radio Station) , Chen Jin and Chen Yu are among the entries disclosed yesterday. Gong Wei Jie , the 2004 World Junior runner up is also in the list.
