TH will play and sure he must win here to upgrade his WR (#18 per 22/03/07) before world-meet next August. Its doubtedly Asian top-shuttlers will join this tourney especially CHN-4 and LCW as defending champion.

    New Indonesia's Double Man?

PBSI will send Luluk/Markis and Alvent/Hendra Setiawan to Asian Continental Championship 2007.
    I read this from www.bolanews.com.
let's see the result! I think Alvent/Hendra Setiawan is better pair.:) :) :)

I doubt the pair will be changing.... Lius Pongoh said to metro Sport (Thursday) there are will be no changing partner, coz no time to do that. but there is a plan to seperate Luluk n alvent. but until now, PBSI no recomended player. they look like to keep Markis/Hendra.but split Luluk/alvent.

1.LD will not play in asian championship 2007----he said he will not play in some tournaments because of injury.
2.BCL and CY most probably will not play in ABC 2007 because of injury.
3.CJ and other CHINESE players most probably will not play in ABC 2007.
4.Reason :All players are now preparing for WC and SUDIRMAN CUP.

Is Taufik thinking about destroying LCW's confidence and give him the final blow in this Asian championship? Beating LCW 3 times in a row in straight games will definitely finish him off pretty much... TH already beat LCW twice in a roll in straight games for those who can't remember. oh... just found out that LCW is likely to skip ABC, smart move!!!

There is absolutely no point for the top China players to show up at Asian championship. There just isn't enough prize money and glory for team China to make the effort to show up, especially with the number of injury that occured within the team.

Plus, if they show up and win it... especially Lin Dan, then everyone will say he fake the injury at Swiss open which in fact, he was indeed injured.:(

Team China has all the ranking points that they need at the moment, and the only few people that may need some more are like GL/ZB since they haven't played at a lot of tournament compare to others.

Asian championship is only suitable for like China's "B" team, so they can gain some more experience, and give other countries a chance to win something... so we don't hear all those "It's boring, China is dominating again."

if it is to happen again at ABC, dun blame CHI for being too strong, instead question why others are being so weak.

Maybe because the Chinese has the determination and wants it really bad to win everytime, consistently. These are some attitudes to be learned by others.

LCW should take part if CHI is not sending their best players there, just to regain his confidence. not neccessarily to win it, but at least to be able to reach final.

What kind of team B does CHN have? The kind that can only reach QF at the recent GO07? No matter how good CHN team B is, there's no substitute for match experience and it's 2 or 3 years of build up before any team B can be a threat for any title.
Team A looked pretty unwell by the time of SwO7 esp. BCL except CJ. The pre AE07 preparation must be so tough it actually took a toll on them physically.
Anyway CHN would never dare send CJ alone to compete in ABC. CHN just don't have the guts to.CHN's strength is dependent on numbers.
But ABC don't need CHN for challenge or excitement. If I have a choice of TH or CHN, I 'll go for TH anytime.

At the moment, CHN's main mens singles team is pretty much all injuried... BCL may be the worst at the moment, just look at his left legs is heavily wrapped. LD, well everyone knows by now. CY is supposed to have injured his ankle or something. CJ has minor knee injury.

If they have nothing to gain from ABC, they ain't taking the risk of further injury.

Taufik is indeed fun to watch, but at the same time it seems ironic enough that he skipped the 2 super series tournament where the CHN full force(pretty much) entered, and will show up at a tournament where at least we know LD for sure won't show up...;) Taufik is a genisus!!!

    LCW should skip ABC

Big mistake. That's why LCW's form is in a mess. LCW is at the stage when he should be selective and playing the minimum no. of tournaments. What's the point of being in the ABC. Even if he loses RP, so what? Who should he be afraid of? He's a Class 1 MS. When he plays his best, he is the best, beating the rest of the best. It's other MS, esp. CHN MS who are afraid of him. The difference is CHN MS does not show it. MAS fans, show some guts and not fear. Otherwise you are the source of LCW's problem.
All LCW needs to tell himself is that he's Class 1 and that his opponent is actually afraid of him. While he has no control over the outcome of a match, he has control in wanting to put in his best. Just focus on playing his best. (Not try to play his best. Try to is not good enough.)
LCW should skip ABC. His presence would cannibalise other MAS MS and prevent them from gaining RP (eg WCH, KBH etc if they should meet early) To add glitter? What's the point of adding glitter at home if the exertion leads to shatter away from home? Will BAM ever learn? INA knows to rest Sony and Simon and alternate with TH to minimise cannibalisation and exhaustion. Can BAM think better?
If BAM cannot strategise better, LCW should quit BAM and refresh his mind to recharge his career by going to a new environment of new coach and new colleagues. He will not be short of offers. He just has to remember to dictate his terms;at 25, he should start calling some shots and know his value and get it.
