Wow. I never expected MS to be so peculiar. As if they have selected June Wei Cheam for dummy. If LCW is there, who cares about second MS (i feel that way).

By the by, i am eagerly expecting LCW vs KS match very eagerly.

Okay just looked at the latest BWF rankings and got a big shock today. First of all Malaysia WD ranking of Vivian Hoo Kah Mun / Woon Khe Wei has risen up to world ranking no 11 thanks to their good performance in tournaments. They have won lots of bronze medals and also silver medal tournaments for this year tournament. Not to mention they have also won gold, silver and bronze medals in their previous tournaments. That certainly contributed to the rise in their world ranking.

Next Goh V Shem / Tan Wee Kiong world ranking is no 33 despite only playing in 9 tournaments together. Wow great improvement here. By winning this week tournament their ranking will definitely move up to at least no 20. Wow great achievement and great improvement not to mention about Goh V Shem still has not heal from his knee injury and still needs to wear knee band and knee straps when they go for tournaments. Despite that both have also managed to win gold, silver and bronze medals in the tournaments they have participated.

Well, Lee Chong Wei is playing this time. Amazing. He is a good player. He has won lots of gold, silver and bronze medals.

Malaysia also have lots of good MX to choose from. The best pair is already confirm playing. Chan Peng Soon / Goh Liu Ying world ranking is no 3 before Goh Liu Ying stopped playing and went for her knee surgery. Previously till now both of them have won lots of gold, silver and bronze medals.

Notice from the above photos, LCW is reluctant to wear Victor's tracksuit.

Everyone knew about LCW contract status with Yonex since Day 1 Victor sponsored RM60m to team Malaysia.

Main question for discussion, in a team event like Sudirman Cup can he wear differently (Yonex attire with Malaysia flag) from his teammate?

Take team Indonesia as an example, in team events like Thomas/Uber Cup, Axiata Cup and Sudirman Cup all of them have to wear Li-Ning althrough some of the players have personal contract with Yonex, Victor and Flypower.

Other example, Lin Dan have personal contract with Yonex but he is required to wear Li-Ning when he represent his country.

Personally, I would like to see LCW wearing a Victor jersey.

In Chong Wei’s absence, K. Srikanth of India and Son Wan-ho of South Korea have made impressive progress on the world stage. Srikanth won the Indian Open in March and has moved to a career-high ranking of No. 4 in the world while Asian Games team gold medallist and world No. 5 Wan-ho emerged champion at the Hong Kong Open last November.

“I’m aware that Srikanth and Wan-ho have been playing really well. They are a danger to anybody,” said Chong Wei, who is now ranked No. 45.

“But I don’t feel it’ll be a problem for me. I’ll just go and try my best as the pressure is not on me.

“The Sudirman Cup is a tough competition for us. Both South Korea and India are strong opponents and we’ll have to beat at least one of them to qualify for the quarter-finals,” added the 32-year-old.

Are you kidding LCW ? You think India is a stronger opponent to Malaysia ? India don't have match winning doubles players. Only 2 high quality singles players. What can they do against Korea and Malaysia..

But i can expect one point from WS. But other than that, i have no belief. With Morten Frost in their hands, i don't think LCW will lose MS. He has tonnes of experience in his hands. Unless, KS come up with some plans to upset the situation, no unusual thing will happen. LCW will win it.:(

Yes, you may be right this time. I also believe that Malaysia can advance to the QF. But who knows I also want to believe that Malaysia may even advanced to the semifinals then finals. Who knows? With Morten Frost around anything can happen. Victories can come.

We are World Number 7 now, MAL is 10. Can't see why we can't beat MAL atleast.
Also MF was a great player no doubt; but PG is the far better MS coach.
Plus, someone like LCW won't need to lean on MF's shoulders to overcome SWH and KS.

Just like in Thomas Cup 2014, none of us gave Team Malaysia any hope and chances but guess what, the team exceeded all expectation and became the runner-up in that tournament, they even beat much stronger team like Korea 3-2 (group stage), Denmark 3-1 (quarterfinals) and Indonesia 3-0 (semi-finals).

    Notes:
    1. In 2014 Thomas Cup, Malaysia beat India 4-1 (group stage).

    2. Meanwhile in 2014 Commonwealth Games mixed team badminton event, Malaysia without top players like LCW and GLY won the gold medal (as for India, they are 4th), thus it's quite interesting to see if Team Malaysia able to suprise us in this edition of Sudirman Cup.

Yes is 2015, therefore is quite interesting to see if Team Malaysia able to spring any surprise and upset like previous year. Cross my fingers and prepare some tidbits and popcorn in front of tv.
