Good draw for Towi/Butet,possibly meet Sudket/Saralee in Qf and meet Zhang/Zhao in SF if there is no upset. Will firda beat Salakjit? If she beat salakjit,on paper she able to cruise to semifinal. As she has beaten eriko and wmc 2 set in their last meeting.
wow. that's a surprise that WKW will be paired up with KKK in the XD. Hope KKK have enough energy and oxygen to sustain by playing in 2 categories
Great. LHI will meet chen jin in the 2nd round. a REAL test for the current WC as early as 2nd round.. Taufk vs Hsieh of taipei in the 1st round as well.. This should be interesting. Hsieh surely would wanna revenge his defeat to TH in the recently concluded WC.
Quarter final not consider early la.. Since Cai/Fu's and JUNG/LEE's ranking dropped so much ever since. anyway, may the better pair wins
Dont worry, KKK will get a bye in MD first round and they will face Tantowi/Butet in XD first round.....their journey in XD will end in first round ! So there will be no energy shortage problems for him in MD ....!
Mak/Tan actually has a kind first round against an unpredictable JPN pair (or are they the ones who are unpredictable? Hahaha!) I hope they can pull off a few upsets here before bowing out, I am looking forward to see how they perform, I really, really hope that they can at least manage to meet Kido/Setiawan to gauge their standards...
Impossible, this INA pair is very strong, always a contender in GP Gold tournaments, if they create upset means they can play KKK in XD for GP events and win le
No lah, SS or GP Gold time maybe. AG time, no way Lilyana/Tantowi will let go the chance of getting at least a medal.
They havent play in SS event...after AG they will start their journey in SS level of course.. but it is good also lar for new pair can take two GPG title and 1 runer up in their first three tournament
actually they still no find their true challenger in past 3 GPG tourney(i know they lost to hendra/vita in taipei)..they beat the olympic champion Lee/Lee,Chen/Cheng,Hendra/Vita.. they need to test the chinese pair..unfortunately they cant test Zheng Bo/Ma jin anymore..but they can test Zhang nan/Zhao Yunlei,Hehanbin/MaJin..its not really bad also..and test europe top pairs Thomas/Kamila.. Finger cross for Towi/Lilyana!
what IF their ina opponent injured or something?.. just an example.. they will advance to the next round too right?
LD has PSH again in his quarter. LCW has to contend with Sony in his. Although unlikely to upset, both PSH and Sony have been thorns in the sides of LD and LCW respectively.
Can't wait for the AG! Have planned 4-days off from work... hopefully will get approval since that month will be a hectic month with WCOA a week before and Aidiladha the next week... Btw, is the badminton schedule confirmed as per the AG site?
Agree, but i do not think both LD and LCW will lose to them as they r chasing their 1st AG gold medal. i expect a rematch between LD and LCW after Japan Open 2010
Ankle injury threatens Chong Wei’s Asian Games preparations KUALA LUMPUR: The strain of having to play too many competitions has caught up on Lee Chong Wei. He is down with an ankle injury and his spate of injuries is raising concerns over his preparation for the Guangzhou Asian Games. He was down with a back muscle problem during the world championships in Paris in August. Prior to that, he was affected by knee problems. National Sports Institute (NSI) director general Datuk Dr Ramlan Aziz said yesterday that Chong Wei would undergo a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan to determine the extent of the injury. “He complained of pain on his ankle on Saturday (after his return from New Delhi. I had a look at it on Sunday and we are now investigating the injury,” he said. “According to Chong Wei, he felt pain during the final match (against Rajiv Ouseph) at the Commonwealth Games. “We will not be able to make any conclusion on his preparation for the Asian Games, not until we are able to review all the reports following the treatment he gets over the next few days.” Meanwhile, the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) general manager, Kenny Goh, said that they would wait for the progress report from the NSI on Chong Wei’s condition. “We hope that he will be back on his feet after a few days of treatment and good rest. We have already made a decision on not sending him for the Denmark Open and France Open,” he said. Chong Wei had been on his toes from the start of the year and did well to win the Opens in South Korea, Malaysia, England, Indonesia and Japan. He also won the Malaysian Open Grand Prix Gold and was gold medallist in the Commonwealth Games. The Star newspaper reported today that LCW has injured his ankle during his match with rajiv (again) in commonwealth games and is doubtful to wins his 1st AG title. looks like rajiv has the potential to hurt LCW. anyway, hope he recovers fast stay in top condition in guangzhou
KKK/TBH has a relatively easy draw as compare to the other half which has heavyweights such as CY/FHF, MK/HS & JJS/LYD. however, they should be aware of rising youngsters such as Ko/Yoo from Korea
