If the country separation rule is still applicable, the dangerous Ko/Yoo [6] will be drawn at Koo/Tan [1]'s quarter. That will put Chen/Lin [8] at Kido/Setiawan [2]'s quarter.

    on paper ??..yes..
but India and Taipei are 'new' badminton powerhouse now..
    Firda vs Saina -- 50:50
    Meilina/Greysia vs Ashwini/Jwala -- 1-0 for INA
Febe vs Aditi -- 50:50...But Febe improve in yesterday match
    Shendy/Nitya or Shendy/Lilyana -- 2-0 for INA
    Linda/Aprilia vs Trupti/Sayali--3-0 for INA..

    WD are must win !!

Finally, the drawing is officially published.
Most interesting individual event according to me is XD.

There are many unseeded dark horses as INA, CHN, and KOR send (relatively) new pair.
KOR will pair LHJ with Baek Cheol SHIN. I never look at them in either Super Series or Grand Prix.
LYD will concentrate more in MD

There is a chance that the final will be
    Tontowi/Liliyana vs He Hanbin/Ma Jin

Unfortunately, we will miss Ratchanok Inthanon in WS individual event, as she is another hope to stop China BS beside Saina Nehwal and Korean WS.

I also wonder why Singapore will not send other players beside Shinta/Yao Lei.
They have promising XD and MD.
Singapore MS and WS play not so bad in Commonwealth Games.

    INA vs IND
    Firda vs Saina
Firda outclassed saina in UC Prelimary 2010 in 2 set.
    51:49 for firda.

    Grey/Mel vs Jwala/Aswhini
    No bargain anymore,must win!
    52:48

    Febe vs Aditi
    Febe has better chance.
    52:48

    Shendy/Butet vs WD 2
    55:45

    Aprilia vs Gokhale
    55:45

    Ina win 5-0 or 4-1.

    INA vs Taipei
    Firda vs Shao Chieh.
Firda beat Shao 2 sets in Macau GPG 2010.
    51:49

    GreyMel vs Cheng/Chien
tight match! Greymel lost 3 set to this pair in taipei.
    50:50

    Febe vs Tzu
    51:49

    Shendy/Butet vs WD2
    55:45

    April vs Chen
    51:49

    INA win 3-2 or 4-1.

Apparently, i must say KOR no have a good chance in XD.
Must remember Bae cheol sin/Lee Hyo Jung lost to Fran/Pia in INA SS 2010.
And Kim min jung/Yoo lost 2 set to Frans/Pia recently.
Proably,XD will go to INA or CHN.

But, not so nice draw for men team.
Chinese Taipei will make INA team not easy passing to semifinal. The probability INA wins is still bigger, but INA men team need to save more energies before meeting with CHINA.

And wondering how the best scenario INA to upset CHN

    Lin Dan vs Taufik
Xu Chen / Guo Zhendong vs Kido/Setiawan
    Chen Jin vs Simon Santoso
Cai Yun / Fu haifeng vs (possibly) Alvent/Ahsan
    Chen Long vs Sony DK

It is hoped that Simon and Sony are not injured, unless it will be easy for CHN.
Second MD seems belong to CHN
INA has best opportunity in first MD and third MS.

Simon also has chance, but it will be tough. Even, Chen Jin is not easy to defeated.
If Taufik can beat Lin Dan, INA will be lucky then.

    Let see

    Cai/Fu meets JJS/LYD early
While KKK/TBH has to contend with dark horses Ko/Yoo and Guo/Xu. (Yes, I am saying that Guo/Xu will dispose of Fang/Lee.)

Men's team, very tough test against Korea, if we fail to nail MD#1, 90% chance to lose unless Hafiz pulls off a surprise and Mak/Tan can repeat their win over Ko/Yoo.

If either Fu/Cai or LYD/JJS et thru, they must contend with Kido/Hendra in the other half.
Team event, no need hope lah. Hafiz....is either yoyo or habis. Liew Daren, CKB cant beat Korea's 3rd MS.
But for 2nd MD in team, I'll like to see CPS pair with TWK or Mak.

Possibly CHN will play Bao Chunlai instead Chen Long. Yup, hope INA players free of injured at that time.

The absolute strength of the individual competition draw here is amazing.

Just imagine, among 4 almost equally strong players (Hirose, WMC, Salakjit Ponsana, Firda), only one will pass to the medal rounds. No bronze medal playoff here.

Similarly, among Kasyap, Tanongsak and Nguyen TM, only one will pass to challenge Lin Dan at the q-final. Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng have to navigate past their toughest opponents JJS/LYD at the q-final stage, and Koo/Tan have to get the better of KSH/YYS or the unpredictable Japanese pair at the same stage this time.

How is Sony DK doing? I don't think he is up to full fitness yet.

But Simon must start believing that he can match and eventually beat Chen Jin for INA to have any hope in the team competition.
