I suspect if Taufik takes something serious, he'll win it. :p

Just wondering is Taufik Indonesian Chinese or native Indonesian. I read it in a cyber Indonesian newpaper that Taufik declined to carry the Indonesian flag at the opening ceremony because he fears it might affect his game. So Hendrawan is the one to carry the flag and he said as a Chinese Indonesian it is a great onour to do so. Does that mean Taufik is not Chinese?

Does anyone know if the order of selection for team matches are based on world rankings or does each team decide themselves? This is important as certain matchups could swing the match unexpectedly one way or other.

Example MAS v INA by world ranking
    LCW v Taufik
    Hafiz v Sony
    WCH v Simon
    KKK/CCM v Alven/Luluk
    CTF/LWW v Markis/Hendra

Looks to me like a INA win 3-2

Example MAS v INA a possible coach selection scenario
    WCH v Taufik
    LCW v Sony
    Hafiz v Simon
    KKK/CCM v Markis/Hendra
    CTF/LWW v Alven/Luluk

Looks to me like a MAS win 3-2

Sorry, I should have said that if Taufik wanted to win gold, he'd have to rely heavily on his team mates, hence the above scenarios. :)

I think that taufik can win anything as long as he gets serious about it
