Okay...Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen pick up another SS title, winning in rubber-sets against their teammates Wei Yili/Zhang Yawen 21-18, 22-24, 21-8.

Now on to the Final match of the day....the tense one....I hope Kido/Hendra play to their potential

They may feel indispensable but they will know the money will not be coming in once they don't perform, like Hafiz.

HAfiz and KKK wanted the incentives and they worked hard and they got it. Sure the fame got to them but it has nothing to do with BAM pampering them - soon as you don't perform don't expect charity. There is no freebee as people seem to think. BAM is not charitable, it does not have deep pockets.

MD nowadays emphasis more on front court skills and flat jabbing shots, which is more efficient than smashing. Who is LDS btw? Lee Dong Soo? He is not a big smasher either.

Hahaha sorry you are right. Even so, he is not treated well soon as he does not perform. He is almost on the 'dole' (pocket money only). With his loss in the AE, I think will be losing further ground.

Yup, that actually came out in the press about BAM not paying the 2007 quarterly & presidential bonus yet.
Other than that, people tend to think national players are 100% funded by government cos it's core sports = taxpayer's $$$. When BAM released the figures, It's 50% from government, 50% from sponsors(Proton & Yonex).
That only came to light when the 4 MD muskeeters wanted to go independent & find own sponsors.

Yes FU has a big smash, but the smahs does not dominate the game. when Kim/Ha or Halim/Tony played the smashes were the dominant point of the game.

When Cai/Fu play these days their smash does not dominate the game, which is why they are not so good in results these days.

Kido/Setiawan are a forgetable pair for me. I have watched them a few times, and forget how they play....sorry to me they showed nothing special to remember by.
