Hopefully KKK/TBH wins but anything can happen. However, if they lose or win I'll still give them my full support. The problem with the majority of Malaysian fans is that when the players lose, they get bashed like hell and when they win, the players are praised sky high. This is not the right attitude. We as supporters or fans, should support them through thick and thin.If they played bad just give them constructive criticism.I think the players had received enough bashing from the media.Remember, they are human and prone to make mistakes. The only thing they can do is just learn from their mistakes and improve themselves.

I think not --- they have used up whatever tricks they have and it did not work.

Unlikely to work now as KKK-TBH have developed their own 'foxiness' too --- playing against KKK-TBH is so hard now (if for one moment you lose focus they are likely to stream ahead so quickly, e.g. the 3rd game against TG-CW, this is a classic proof of how good KKK-TBH have become).

For those envious of the pair, learn how to accept the fact that KKK-TBH are now the kingpins of doubles -- they command respect. All Malaysians have everything to rejoice in their champion pair.

What's wrong with you? Losing one match (or, for LD's case, retired from the match) isn't the end of the world. Do you know how many matches LD has lost in the past 12 months? Yet he is still the World No.1.

agree.i think mas actually has talented players but unfortunately doesnt have a good management. it is actually funny to see BAM only coming up with a proper xd program now considering that mas is a quite famous in badminton since quite a long time ago though more in men's department. but what took them so long to start it when other countries like china and INA already have it earlier and are already producing champs in xd. is it only after the WC bronze win by kkk/wpt and AG bronze by wpt/fairuz, they start considering to specialise in xd?

besides kkk/tbh , the men are not showing any impressive results lately. it is good to see the success of kkk/tbh but mas cannot be overdepented on them just like depending only on lcw(and now what happens?)i also would like to see other mas pairs showing results and be on par with kkk/tbh. mas need to have 2 or 3 good pairs like china(in ms) to be more secure.

as for lcw, i read from news that he was not planning to defend his ABC title next month but the 1st round defeat in SO may caused him to change his mind.as qwertyu said, maybe he should rest like nicol david and get back his form. talking about nicol, i think that she is a true champion. i admire her the most cos of her skills, nice personality and strong mental.
mas badminton players should learn to have mental strength as strong as hers. she remains unbeaten for 40 matches in all competitions after her defeat in CG06.
lcw should be like tat.learn from failure and come back better.
in my opinion ,so far only kkk/tbh and wch had show strong mental toughness.

    as for the women
ya i agree that they would be much better if only some steps are taken earlier like sparring with men.
wmc started training with men and she was under li mao from last year i think.
this certainly pays off as we can see that she is improving(able to beat CHN now) and becoming more consistent.
ceh/wpt should have started sparring with men much earlier.anyway better late than never.
ceh/wpt also show improvement after the sparring by beating TPE despite ceh's injury.
but mas wd still lack good players besides them. the gap is still far between them and others.
unlike in ws, we have julia, lydia and anita.
but i was surprised that they didnt send julia to SO as she is in the top 20 and automatically gets to main draw. sigh.
julia, lydia and anita needs more exposure and same goes to the juniors in other categories esp ms and wd.

and about poor management, this news in NST is funny:

In the women’s doubles, Fong Chew Yen-See Phui Leng were forced to concede a walkover to Indonesia’s Greysia Polii-Vita Marissa as they were stranded at Dubai International Airport which was closed for eight hours following an accident on the runway on Monday.

they are supposed to reach earlier before Mon for the qualifying:eek:
actually due to many withdrawals in SO , their seeded opponent in qualifying match got promoted to main draw and their second round opponent gave them walkover.
so they got into main draw without even playing any match.
so lucky but somehow unlucky that they have to give walkover in the end to INA in 1st round.
i dont know this is bad luck or mismanagement but i feel that if they have better planning and not last minute, this wont happen.
    what a waste.

finally my predictions for winners(sorry if i make you bored with my long post)haha:

Chen Jin- but on form simon will make it tough and interesting

    Zhang Ning-she is definately better

kkk/tbh-looks good for a double title this month

Yang Wei/Zhao Tingting-i think CHN is still better though they are new pair

Gresya Polii/Muhammad Rizal- the new pairing of KOR is better than old pairing but i think INA will win this

    go mas and polii
    haha enjoy SO

I remember the BAM has been talking about grooming XD pairs once in a while in the past 2 decades but they have never been serious about it. Wonder if it will be going down the drain again this time round.

I don't recall them playing together as a pair.

    Then:
    Zhang Dan/Zhang Yawen
    Wei Yili/Zhao Tingting
    Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen

    Now:
    Zhang Yawen/Wei Yili
Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen (though recently split up-Yang Wei pairing up with Zhao Tingting)
