My gut feeling is that Taufik isn't so consistent either. In the last 12 months, the only consistent player among the top guns in MS is Lin Dan.

Not, you all missed my point. My point was that LCW's inconsistency shouldn't be the only reason that makes some of you consider him not on par with Taufik and Lin Dan. LCW is clearly among the Top-5 in the world and the skill gaps between these 5 guys are small.
agreed!! the skill gap is definately very small among those top players, is the mentality and form on the day that counts. I think Lin Dan got quite high self confidence, while taufik is so cool on the court & this is the area LCW need to improve on.
I didn't understand a word! what is "clutch"? what is "MLB"? what is "pinch hit"? ............... "winning run on 3rd base" => is this about baseball? (if so sorry I don't enough about it to understand what you are saying)
