Do we know why Mia Audina is paired with Eti Tantra for the Women Doubles instead of her regular partner, Lotte Jonathans? Lotte is playing XD with her regular partner.

In Men Singles, Colin Haugton lost to Tafiq (the other Tafiq) - only upset that I could see.

For Men Doubles, it looks like the US pairing of Han/Bach might be coming to an end as they haven't done well at all as compared to Guwanan/Malaythong.

    Jonas lost in XD

Oh no, Jonas with Rikki lost in their quarter finals match against Tony G/Eti T. It was a three-set affair with the last match being very close 13-11.

Good luck in the Men Doubles, Jonas!

Only Lee Tsuen Seng is left of the Malaysian team. Both doubles pairs are out and so are the other singles players. After the Malaysian All-England success in singles, the Malaysians look weak in the Swiss. Both Wong and Yong are out. Malaysia should have let Hafiz play in the Swiss Open.

Lee Tsuen Seng also out now, Dicky Palyama beat him by 15-12 15-6 !
Curious what the match LEE Hyun Il against Dicky will bring.

Perhaps like what he has said of Hafiz Hashim, Misbun Sidek should just fly back home to join the celebration after his All England success. While his body is in Basel, his mind and spirits are likely in KLIA and Kota Bahru celebrations wearing Tengkolok... :D

I'm quite pissed-off with the role of Lee TS, where his job is only limited to clearing path/tiring opponents for the Hashim brothers..

While speaking of the Swiss Open 2003, I took many pictures of the favorite players in the last few days. I'm currently making a gallery and will post a new topic in the general forum as soon as it's online.

    Here's Mia :

Wow, the knives are already out for Misbun. Curious to know why you don't support him.

Also Lee TS, is that an objective statement? Can you support it with evidence? we would have to consider that neither of the brothers are playing in Swiss Open this year.

I wondered what her clothing sponsors were thinking having her wear an outfit like that. Anyhow, looks like she pulverized Kim Kyeung Ran 11/0, 11/2 in the WS.

Swiss Open live on Malaysian TV

According to a news article on the Swiss Open website,

"A TV station from Malaysia told the organizers that they would want to broadcast live on Sunday. But who could to the commentary? After juggling with flight schedules and reservation lists Steve Butler – who was also co-commentator at the All England Championship - agreed to help out."

    Lucky...

Chen/Cheng won the Men's Doubles in Swiss Open. Looks like this pair is getting better and better. Has Tang Xinhu's training finally paid off? We'll find out in about a month to see whether China finally has a very reliable Men's Doubles Team for Surdiman Cup.

    ???

Where did you see this? On the official site, they listed the winners as LIMPELE/HIAN with scores of 10/15, 15/5, 15/1

Wang Chen (LS) must be injured as Zhang Ning won with a w/o in the finals.

    Whoops......
I've went to the official webviste again, and you're right....

BUT I was pretty sure that when I checked this morning, the website did say Cheng/Chen has won (The score was 10/15 and then the rest was blanked out). Either I was too sleepy at tha time (?????), or they made a mistake and then corrected it afterwards.
