Learning that this LD chap is not in SSF (otherwise TH could get kick again by LD and a pretty big licking too cos' TH has been losing 2 straights to LD lately and one more boot kick would really kick confidence, ego and moral) TH ponders  and walla!! I gotta chance to win this SSF thingie cos I can beat this LCW fella and playing in MAS is like playing at home with MAS crowd liking TH too...win SSF would get good $$$dough, a championship medal or trophy (consider that winnning anything with this LD chap lurking around is tough business) to show his daugther and gain one-up on LD who does not have a SSF championship trophy...yet!!...that is my take on TH joining in, albeit a mischievous one:p:D

Actually it is not the case..Yonex wanted TH here to attract the crowd...TH gets big sponsorship from Yonex...dont think TH will perform well....even without LD, I do not think TH could win either...;)

Badminton: Pei Tty treads with caution to avoid double trouble

KUALA LUMPUR: Shuttler Wong Pei Tty has a chance to make it a double joy for Malaysia in the Super Series Masters Finals. But she does not wish to count the chicken before they are hatched.
Although it will be more taxing playing in two events, Pei Tty is looking forward to having a good time in the competitions with Chin Eei Hui in the women’s doubles and with Lim Khim Wah in the mixed doubles.
Her participation with youngster Khim Wah, who were the 20th ranked pair in the Super Series mixed doubles standings, was confirmed just three days ago.
The 27-year-old Pei Tty admitted that it would be tougher in the mixed doubles.
“I was surprised when I found out a few days ago that Khim Wah and I would get to compete in the mixed doubles. This gives us another opportunity to work out on our partnership,” said Pei Tty.
The duo teamed up last April and their best finish thus far was a semi-final appearance in the Thailand Open.

“Khim Wah is a very hard working player but he lacks experience,” said Pei Tty, whose best achievement in mixed doubles was a bronze medal-winning effort with Koo Kien Keat in the 2006 World Championships in Madrid.
“We will be the underdogs at the Masters Finals but we will try to give the others good fights. Hopefully, we will get better in every tournament.”
The favourite for the Masters Finals mixed doubles title are world number one Nova Widianto-Lilyana Natsir of Indonesia.
In the women’s doubles, Pei Tty-Eei Hui are the top seeds. And in the absence of China’s Du Jing-Yu Yang and Zhao Yunlei-Cheng Shu, they have a good chance to continue with their good run on the international stage.
Pei Tty, who has been on a roll with Eei Hui since winning the Danish Open title in October, however, chose not to be over-confident. They had also finished as the runners-up in the French and China Opens.
“Eei Hui and I want to continue with our good feeling in the international tournaments. There will be no pair from China but it will not be easy either against those from Indonesia and South Korea,” she said.
The Indonesians in the fray are Lilyana-Vita Marissa and Jo Novita-Greysia Polii. The South Korean qualifiers are Ha Jung-eun-Kim Min-jung.
