INA will take MD and XD that's very likely IMO. Only need to steal 1 more point, and that will be good enough. I'm already having SF meeting against Denmark in mind or even China in the final

For all the Canucks out there, we took the MD (Liu/Ng) 21-19, 21-17. CAN 1-0 HKG

In WS, Michelle Li leads Chan Tsz Ka 21-15, 4-4

Go to fromsportcom.com and you'll find the link there. UNfortunately they're showing the SIN v FRA match, but at least its English commentary

Michelle just won the last 5 points to beat Chan 21-15, 22-20. YEAHHH!!!

    CAN 2-0 HKG

I heard the commentator say they wanted to give some of their youngsters a chance. As it was Chan Tsz Ka pushed Michelle Li all the way

Japan could field in another XD pair hashimoto and fujii which is no easy meat at all.
I saw their match against the chinese and they could spoil the party for INA.

The key for INA to win the tie with Japan is to at least split the singles. Both teams have the capability to win both singles, and the team that does will win.

The only advantage INA has right now is XD. As cute as Reiko Shiota is, she is not backed up by sufficient firepower or defensive armour.

WD is Japan's for the taking unless the rallies could be kept short. Anything around 50 minutes or more, is a Japanese recipe for success.

MD, I don't know. INA hasn't been performing well lately although typically INA pairs don't have much problems subduing Japanese men.

Is it true that this edition of SC doesn't have promotion/degradation system ?

So what's the point of battle it out to be no 1 in group 2 for example if not going to be promoted in elit group

That's a good point. Perhaps the achievement is considered during the seeding purpose in the next cup?
