    Yes.

When you tension the string the clamps will stay in place.

That has been a misunderstanding. You don’t have to (and cannot) adjust the gripper, but the clamps.

And as answered already, the clamps stay up once you clamp a tensioned string.

In case you need some help how to start, just watch this:

I did my 2nd stringjob this morning, it took me about an hour and half (3 hours for the 1st one). I did the yonex 2 piece patern on the racket (Astrox 2) and I also did a loop on the top 2 crosses. I will attach a picture of the stringjob. Feedback is appreciated!

From what I can see on those potato cam pics, the knots are looking good. No chance to see anything significant from the whole frame pic.

Did you have any problems during the job? 90 minutes for a second job ever is a good time, well done!

Thanks! I had some issues with some shared holes, especially some in the top of the frame. Other then that, I don’t think I had any other issues. What’s your favorite way to deal with the shared holes?

There are a variety of techniques. Here’s a good collection - although I would advise against shoving the awl into the whole:

A technique that always works for me is the one with the string mover hook.

A small trick that I figured out lately is this one:

Does wonders for the spots where you are threading from the outside of the frame.

Most important thing is simply to get a lot of experience. At some point you just have a feeling what you have to do to get the string through.

And if everything else fails, there’s always the dental floss technique:

All hail to the modest anonymous hero! :D

Just noticed that I added the wrong link there. Here's the correct one now:
    https://youtube.com/shorts/qXwmQqT2Uc4?feature=share

I think I have had 100% success with this when pushing from the outside.

I did another racket this morning and had the same issue when threading the top shared holes from the inside… Ill try the dental floss technique next time to see if it works well for me! Is it normal that sometimes when I tension a string, my turntable moves? When I am not using the machine, anything specific I need to do with the weight? Will the clampbases become smoother overtime?
    Thanks!

If your turntable doesn't have a brake yes it could move. You can use your hand to steady it as you tension. A good wipe of the rails (paper towel and isopropyl alcohol) should be sufficient. I know @kwun posted a YT video of cleaning the table and rails for his gamma 6004. Steps and maintenance are more or less similar

    *Found it:

Not sure if it has a break… Theres a knob that I can turn to lock it though. Its not that bad for the clamp bases… I believe the rails are a little bit rougher as the machines are for tennis aswell.
