You never know, INA can finish last in both the groups. All 3 MS are unpredictable. MD2 is also not that tough. For the Uber Cup, where is Lindaweni Fanetri ? TBH, Women's squad is really weak and looks like a Tier 2 team compared to China,Japan and Korea.
Brother Nine Tailed Fox, firstly thanks for your relpy and good perspective oppinion from you, It's very detail. I'm agree with you. It's hard to imagine the result by the latest players achieves, according Thomas and Uber was group tournament form, 3 singles and 2 Doubles. So the key the victory belongs to the single player. Revolutioning in national team was just begin, not much of them full of experience mentals and intellegence smart player, young players should be learn a lot from this trial emporium tournamen. It's also shock when Linda doesn't include the team, maybe the head coach has own personal reason for It. Or maybe can be change too cause of injured player maybe..Thanks brother Nine Tailed Fox, nice to sharing with you..
I am still bullish that INA TC team will win the group with 1 win from MS and 2 guaranteed wins from MD vs. India, Thailand and Hongkong.
Is that any possible like Praveen Jordan played MD ? Or Debby Susanto can played WD with Lilyana Natsir ? In my oppinion this formula can adopt..
This is not possible, the team has been announced. Natsir, Jordan and Susanto are not part of the team. What's new is Ginting's latest rank has surpassed Ihsan's. So the third MS will either be Ihsan or Jonatan. Just like when Thomas team went to India last month. They are underdog however they proved they can win the trophy. In Kunshan they will be still underdog with this youngsters filling most of the line up. But still they have a chance. Pray for them.
Ginting had proven himself in the TC qualifiers. Ihsan too had proven himself in the SEA Games vs Malaysia. Jonatan did not do too badly himself. So I think the issue would not be with the youngsters. It would be with the seniors freezing and not getting the job done - like what happened in 2014. MD is an Indonesian forte but the fort tends to wobble .....
Since SEA Games, Ihsan is not so dependable anymore. The 2nd MD pair, Ricky/Angga, has all the attributes but their mental are still weak.
Mental strength can be trained ..... for Indonesia, it should be relatively easy. Indonesian players tends to play with more fire when against Malaysians in individual events, so why not show the same attitude against all players in either individual or team competitions? Of course, for Indonesia, playing in a team competition comes with additional weight of expectations. This is where there is scope for improvement. The most important thing is to not show fear on court. Do like Susi Susanti, she always gave opponents the "creepy" stare.
Obviously, I'm worry with Tommy, he is unstable..his position is senior I'm MS. If he didn't catch up the good chance, it will be dropping others MS young player. So, I think the key is head coach and manager can read opponents level head to head for better chance..
Let's see TS vs. THA Boonsak.. it is a win. TS vs. Tanongsak not so sure though he won one in India Open in progress right now. TS vs. Srikanth is even worse. TS never wins. TS vs. Hu Yun/Wei Nan is not so sure thing either.
Bulgaria MD and WS can definitely compete with INA 2nd WS and WD. HKG probably is not so much. HKG does not have a strong WS. They have 1 good WD pair. THA UC team definitely is the group winner.
I guess the only order they can be inserted based on ranking are as follows: Anthony replacing TS in the 1, Ihsan 2nd and Jonatan 3rd. Against THA, yes Anthony never face Boonsak Ponsana and Anthony only met Tanongsak once and he won that match. Against HKG, Anthony never face Hu Yun and Anthony met Wei Nan only once and he won that match. Against INDIA, Anthony met Srikanth twice and the H2H is 1-1
I'm agree with that MS strategy formation..obviously now I'm kind of worry look at the latest result in MD..not promising at all. Percentage win ratio in MD in fact was lack of best result in two latest superseries tournament..

Sony is now giving Rexy and the rest of PBSI things to ponder over the selection of team member. I think the men singles that should be selected would be Tommy, Jonathan, Ginting and Sony Tommy has probably the most experience playing against the 1st MS from other teams and has at least beaten Chen Long once. He has beaten Lin Dan too. So even if he may not be in-form, I would rather put him as 1st MS than anyone else(unless if he is injured) Meanwhile, Sony has the experience and hopefully he is in-form next month. Jo has proven to be more consistent than the other 2 youngsters. Ginting has good history during TC qualification. Ihsan is the hero of Sea Games but he is inconsistent and during Superliga final last year, Jo beat him in the MS3 decider so I guess, it is time to put Sony in and Ihsan in future
