I currently live in Bar Harbor, and we have two very strong groups in Eastern Maine. One is at the University of Maine in Orono, and the other is at the YMCA in Bar Harbor. The two groups often mix, especially for tournaments. It's really a great group of folks, some of whom are very strong players. Having said that, I'm probably moving to Southern Maine, around the Bath area, over the winter. It seems the closest places that play are at UNH (probably too far to drive on a regular basis from Bath) and Bates College in Lewiston (can't seem to get in touch with them to see if outsiders are allowed to place, as they can at UNH and UMO). Are there any other groups in Southern Maine? Is the Y in Portland still offering times?
