Fajar Alfian/Mohd Rian Ardianto keep their World Tour Final hope alive as they beat their compatriots in straight-sets to seal a QF clash with either Lu Ching Yao/Yang Po Han or Akira Koga/Taichi Saito for a place in the last 4. They have an open route to the Final, as they have beaten Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi in the French Open 2021.
How did KM pull that game off?!? He definitely plays into the minds of many players Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes! From 11-15 down, he diligently caught up to Momota to make it 21-19! Congrats to Loh KY. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
In the end, LKY just beat Momota to the finishing line in G3, 21-19, with Momota missing a shot at the net.
I know what you meant. Still made me smile Interesting top half of MS now with all seeded players out.
What a match, what an achievement by Loh Kean Yew as he beat Kento Momota in a very gruelling match that lasted 69 mins: 21-7, 17-21, 21-19! Kean Yew was trailing 6-11 the interval of the rubber-set. But he just never gave up and kept winning pts before eventually levelling the scores at 16-16. The last few points were really brilliant and both players remained floored, after the last point was won! Congratulations indeed and Kean Yew now has a possible route to the Final, starting with a QF match against Hans Kristian Vittinghus tomorrow.
I am pretty certain that the form that Momota was in 2019 could not be replicated anymore. His endurance is deteriorating at a dramatic rate. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
The newly-crowned French Open champion Kanta Tsuneyama was ousted by the veteran Danish, 35-year-old Hans Vittinghus, in three sets.
All players look tired than normal. If you saw the first time Watanabe run out of gas, in Indonesia Master, you know why
