Mr. Krisna, your post is a little, well, political... :p

    A little OOT:
    1. It's Ambalat
    2. I think Manohara case is way overhyped.
I'm more concerned about our labor maid (TKI) there. Siti Hajar, etc. You know what I'm talking about, rite? :(

I hope the EO will increase the security level inside the stadium.
I can't imagine INA supporters threw all kind of things toward MAS players out of anger.

Its the sad case....for Siti Hajar,...even myself felt angry about it.....her former employer shd be punish heavily............

:D:D Post of the thread! Dang, there were some funny parts in there, esp Case 5 - so true, haha :p. Also able to touch on potential political land mines without blowing them up.

Rudy, noticed Adrian Liu (CAN) is playing with Jo Novita (INA) in XD. Has Jo remained in Vancouver and continued to train there or did she return to INA after Racket Rally?

Istora had always been the most critical testing ground for MAS players' mental ability since the 50s. Even as recently as the Thomas/Uber Cup campaign as last year, the boos to MAS players still made their presence felt. Some of our MAS BC forummers who had their first "baptism of fire" in the arena did not understand the reason for it.

Having said that, this is no longer the hostile Istora environment before the 90s. Before that, an outsider (esp Malaysian) needed to have more than motivation to be part of the crowd.

Though I do agree that these recent political and domestic issues do not help matters. More transparency and goodwill will help to restore some stability in cross-border relations.

    Don't worry...

The crowd won't throw things at MAS players laaaah... :p Just boooos by virtue of 'guilty-by-association'... All the INA crowd know that the MAS players were not the ones guilty of abusing Manohara, abusing Siti, and claiming Ambalat... :p They will just vent some signs of disapproval towards the perceived 'unfriendly neighborhood' acts... :p

The last time any Istora crowd threw anything [that I witnessed] was in 2005 when someone threw a water bottle to the courtside. The security officers promptly escorted the rowdy INA fan out. While the rest of the crowd chanted in unison: "Kampungan, kampungan, kampungan!" [direct translation: villager/provincial... inderect translation: no class/shame on you] :D

Then Maria Kristin will win, not Wang Chen... ;)

Yes, as I predicted... MAS players will get boo-ed... :p Oh well... but not much beyond that, though... ;) No object-throwing etc....

Around 2000 came... That's around 30% of the whole building capacity. I think Wednesday we will see 50%. Thursday 60%, Friday 70%... Saturday (depending on how many INA players) we can either see 80% or 10%...

Starting from tomorrow, there will be a lot of "BOOOO-YEAAAAH!"
BOOOOO - when a player returns the shuttlecock.
YEAAAH! - when his/her opponent hits it back. Louder if it's a jump smash.
Especially when it's involving INA players.:D
