The "BC Super Series Finals" tournament is being held at the Sutera Magellan courts in half an hour's time. No prizemoney info is available at this time. Hau-ge is seen scouting for "racquet and shuttle sponsorship". Dr Kang, the BWF President is having breakfast close to me, with his interpreter.

BC Super Series Finals 2008 The BC tournament was lightning fast, in terms of planning and execution, which shades the best ability of BWF ...... wakakakaka. It only took a few not so fit men and quite a bit fitter women and skinny cats 2 hours to finish the whole tournament. We were joined by future World Masters badminton star Kong-19 and his friend David, as well as some friends of Jen and pjswift. Quite a few crouching kungfu-like tactics ala Jung Jae Sung were used to great effect, that we missed the shuttle a number of times ...... Hau-ge provided some equipment owned by Jo Novita and Greysia Polii, no less. Unfortunately it could not inspire the players to greater heights since none of us can jump smash like Polii ..... Umpiring was done by professionally uncertified BC umpires, trying their best to, ahem, sound like BWF's Malcolm Banham of England ..... . One CIMB "red card" was shown to Louisa for unsportscatlike conduct (distracting players when she was supposed to be a service/line judge). Even the no flash photography rule was enforced and flouted .... Not to forget, commentating too was covered in great detail, using Gillian Clark's favourite expressions (How on earth did he/she do that? Oh, goodness me! What a well constructed rally! Confusion in the rotation ...., The lift was woefully short .... got what it deserved, Great change of pace, etc). We had a group photo taken, maybe later it will be posted on the pictures thread.
Charmaine Reid is discussing with the commentating team on the stage layout, it seems the big adboard is impeding THAT GUY's view of the courts. He has moved office to the sideview of the court, just beside VIP area.
I wonder.. ..what kind of side deals or incentives did Hau-ge offer to Jo and Gresyia in exchange to use their rackets... Looking fw to the pics of the BC badminton game and the meal get together..
Ah, yes. The dinner. Well it is supposed to happen right about now, but since I have to return to KL right away, I am not joining it. Maybe Hau-ge, fastdrop or louisa can update on that.
