We saw China team go to UK early for the All England. Philippines also barred HK players Japan has the greatest number of coronavirus infected persons outside of mainland China. you know what might happen....?
Do you consider the Diamond Princess cruise ship in your calculation or only "mainland" Japan? Because otherwise, if I'm not mistaken, it's South Korea who has the greatest number of reported infected individuals after China. SG is close too. If a ban is applied on the Japanese team then it should apply on several other ones.
We should not bar any nation because thereare infected persons in a country.this would degrade humanitarian spirit
Wait, what ? Why are you saying like this ? And other country people getting infected due to other country people, won't that degrade humanitarian spirit ? It's a genuine case not politically motivated. Better be safe than sorry.
It's the price they pay. We can't do anything. Russia got banned by WADA. Those who are clean also got punishment due to works of cheaters, this is how it is.
China want india to lift restrictions https://thewire.in/external-affairs/coronavirus-china-india-restrictions
Since most of the infected in Japan are on the ship, I don't think that it's a reasonable action to make. I also trust that the Japanese goverment would not send out people that they know would be able to infect in that sense. I'm more worried about Thailand when it comes to this to be honest.
This is quite an incendiary thread ... especially coming from a moderator. Whether one includes the 'Diamond Princess' or not, there is still a considerable discrepancy, to put it mildly, between the number of infected cases in the PRC and Japan. And, if we are not including the cruiser, then, as pointed out above, South Korea's numbers currently exceed those of Japan, and Singapore is not far behind. Why did you stop at Japan? Ideally, provided that they test negative, all athletes needing to compete at the international level (including those from China) should be given a special exemption from national immigration restrictions. But, as provisions relating to the immigration and residence of foreigners are almost entirely at the discretion of each individual state, this point is irrelevant ... to the same extent that the theme of this thread is unproductive.
Absolutely correct in that other countries now have the problem. Japan have been particular poor in handling the cruise ship with an increase in infections far beyond that expected. There's Singapore which have a good handle on public health. Now there's Korea where we will see even more cases over the course of this week. China team have gone to UK early two weeks to compete in the all England. They and Hong Kong couldn't compete in the Asia Team championship. As far as I know, Philippines didn't give those teams special exemption. Should these teams with large numbers of cases go into voluntary isolation two weeks beforehand? I agree the original title could have been better framed and therefore it has been edited
