Exactly as reported by BWF news : https://bwfworldtour.bwfbadminton.c...ewall-olympic-champs-fuzhou-china-open-day-3/
Shi Yuqi, Cheung. He's wearing Yonex shoes in Lucknow. Absolutely no, IMO. China needs him as the most reliable MS of young generation despite he looks struggling now post ankle surgery. But looking at his mediocre compatriots, it's really impossible that CBA will expel him from National Team.
because he’s wearing Yonex shoes that means he has left the national team? No way. It might be the shoe design is better for the ankle injury
Wouldn't lining sort of like warn him or something like that? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 using Tapatalk

From the video clip, Shi Yuqi appears fast and energetic, Chen Long, as usual, a bit reactive. The question is whether SYQ is now fully recovered and able to maintain a sufficiently high pace throughout a match, better still, the entire tournament. Can't wait to see SYQ in action again.
I have another question: can he still qualify for Tokyo 2020? Does he need to win many tournaments to be able to do so or simply performing well (a tournament win here and there and some decent results) will allow him to qualify?
I guess if he stays in the top 16, he will get to play in the Olympics. China has the prerogative to choose their best two, so long as they are in the top 16. Don’t think that China will choose LD or LGZ, even if they finish above him in the top 16.
Latest update is always available through social media -Twitter like weibo- and will be shared by his diehard fans (the millenials) Anyway, interesting news about Shi Yuqi that Yosuke Nakanishi, Japan national badminton team men's singles coach stated that Shi Yuqi is Kento Momota biggest rival through this news article (maybe @Justin L could translating it properly ) : https://sports.sina.com.cn/others/badmin.shtml
Correct. He will taking part a string of tournaments in remaining OG qualification period to upgrade ranking points in Race of Tokyo.
It would be great for the sport if SYQ is at Tokyo 2020 and if he is at 100% of his capacities. From an organisational point of view Tokyo 2020 will be outstanding (Japanese high standards) and I do hope it will be outstanding from a sports point of view. Counting on the best to be there. So far no major player is injured (Son Wan Ho is in a similar position as SHY regarding his form) and only SWH and SYQ could be missing or not at 100% for MS. Let's hope they come back in full force soon.
