From BWF drawing, there are two MAS participants for this upcoming tourney : James Chua (MS-qualification) and Salim Sameon (MD-qualification) who will be paired with Finland player.

Not bad....Nana seems to have shown some improvements?
Early defeat for most of Djarum's WS players....sigh....

Hau-Ge, Fransisca Ratnasari will now play your friend, Filipa Lamy in the first round. Quite a winnable match for Nana, she will probably face Cheng Shao-Chieh [8] for a place in the last eight.

If Maria Elfira Christina wins, she will face a tough tie against Eriko Hirose [3] in R32 tomorrow.

Meanwhile, any news on MXQ where Anggun Nugroho/Nathalia Christine Poluakan are also playing today?

    Russian Open Day 2: 06/12

Tomorrow will see quite a number matches involving Team INA and Djarum, with predicted winners in bold.

    MEN'S SINGLES R64
Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka vs Klaus Raffeiner

    Q3 vs Andreas Adityawarman

    Q2 vs Tommy Sugiarto

    Alamsyah Yunus vs Luka Petric

MEN'S SINGLES R32 (to be played tomorrow too)
Sho Sasaki [6] vs Ari Yuli Wahyu Hartanto

Andre Kurniawan Tedjono [8] vs Michal Matejka

Andreas Adityawarman vs Tommy Sugiarto -- if both win their R64 match.

Raju Rai vs Alamsyah Yunus -- if both win their R64 match.

    MEN'S DOUBLES R32
    Tantowi Akhmad/Anggun Nugroho vs Q2

Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki [8] vs Evgenij Dremin/Alexej Vasiljev -- a tricky tie against the home pair, I hope Rian/Yoke can progress at least to the Semi-Final.

Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan vs Kristof Hopp/Ingo Kindervater [5] -- an unlucky tie against the 5th seed German pair, who is more experienced than Bona/Ahsan. It will be a good progress for them if they can upset the German pair.

Rendra Wijaya/Fran Kurniawan vs Chris Langridge/Richard Eidestedt -- also a tricky one for Rendra/Fran, but, they should manage.

    WOMEN'S SINGLES R32
Filipa Lamy vs Fransisca Ratnasari -- will this mark a comeback for the former INA no 1 player?

    WOMEN'S DOUBLES R32
Yulianti/Nathalia Christine Poluakan vs Panushkina Anastasia/Irina Hlebko -- the INA pair should be able to pass their first test in Moscow.

    MIXED DOUBLES R32
Andrew Bowman/Sarah Bok vs Tantowi Akhmad/Yulianti -- a reasonable first test for INA's most promising XD pair.

In that case, Fira should take it. There should be quite a number of withdrawals, esp if the Koreans decide not to participate after the tiring Super Series matches in the past fortnight.

Good news for INA fans...the Russian Open is in tournamentsoftware.com, with live score, although it's not working yet as of now  Probably tomorrow when the main draw begins!

As expected, the Korean team has withdrawn, and there's no Andreas Adityawarman in the MS draw  Lee Hyun Il's withdrawal makes it a good opportunity for Tommy Sugiarto to reach the QF or even SF if he can beat Lu Yi.

    Additional matches:

    WOMEN'S SINGLES R32
Olga Konon vs Maria Elfira Christina -- another tricky tie for Fira, of course, we hope she can win.

    MIXED DOUBLES R32
Anggun Nugroho/Nathalia Christine Poluakan vs Chris Adcock/Gabrielle White -- with Anggun's experience, I think they should beat the ENG pair. If both INA pairs win tomorrow, one QF spot is guaranteed.
