A great fightback by Team CHN after losing the pool match to SBR 3-0 earlier. Now CHN wins gold winning 3-1, avenging their defeat on SBR. What a match.

That was a great match, China really put some psychological doubt on the Serbian player - whacking her not once but twice ......

Zhu Ting was unstoppable. Too powerful and did not run out of steam after consecutive spikes.

Captain Hui was crying - putting out a performance that was pure heart .......

Well, now there's nothing interesting left on Olympic TV, as the tight shorts are done playing ..........

Against all odds, after the poor performances in the 2016 World Grand Prix and The Final Six, then being trashed during the group preliminary matches, lost 3 matches won only 2... who would ever think that the Chinese team can make a great comeback to win the gold?

Defeating the twice consecutive defending Olympic Champion, the host and the hot favourite, BRAZIL, in the QFs was the moment of truth. The victory boosted the team's confidence and from then on unstoppable!!!

Great job Lang Ping, you're the strategist master!

YES, knowing that the Captain Hui had a heart surgery roughly about 18-24 months ago...

Yes she was great - but her young team is very mentally adept too. Better than the Chinese badminton team. I would not be surprised if they defend their title in Tokyo with largely the same team.

The Serbian women really impressed me, I thought they're going to win after taking G1 from CHN. They beat USA in the semifinals.

Lan Ping's status and reputation is further enhanced after leading CHN to this gold medal victory.

Zhu Ting is superb as spiker.
