The fans complain that Rian smashes aren't fast enough and isn't good enough to pair angga, while Berry surprises many as he isn't degraded from the national training centre (Pelatnas) for such a long time, They compared him to Ulinuha dan Rendy who are said to be more talented and were kicked out. (Ulinuha was Berry's partner when they were the RU of WJC 2009) So now they are paired up and has shoot up in the last months thank to their good results, grabbed a GPG title and beat their former partners in the Pertamina cup. Many fans are surprised by the results, They thought Angga-Ricky and Kevin-Markus should be the ones that fare better but it is the weakest one that grabbed the title. They are also selected for the Thomas cup qualifiers. Hope they can do well and provw their critics wrong

Based on the latest results it isn't surprising, They had quite an achievement at Macau and Indonesian masters, beating Chai Biao-Hong Wei and the Kim-Kim. They also beat their friends like Ade/Wahyu and Angga-Ricky in the recent tournaments, so they are the 2nd pair in form after Ahsan-Hendra.
Rian was a complete MD player, effective and toughness too. Also, Berry has a good cover and smart player too. I think, the MD Coach should "pump" this pair to the highest level..because this pair is a secret weapon in MD Team. Come on Rian/Berry..show it, you CAN !!!
