Report about TangJiuHong

as i have promised Taufik- ist i managed to translate on of the reports about tangjiuhong, hope you like it , but be prepared , it's really not very well translated

Tang Jiu Hong :
she was born in 1969, AnHua(name of a place) , HuNan
province. She became one of the first class players
in National team after crowned in National Youth
Badminton Game in 1985 and 1986. She helped China to
gain the Uber Cup in 1990 and 1992 . In 1991 she was
the winner of Asian Cup. In 1992, the winner of
world cup. She was called the Queen of Badminton.
Now she is the leader/manager(can't find the right
word for her position) in Department of Sports of
HuNan province.
There is a story about how she became a badminton
player. In 1974, her brother was picked up by a
coach named WenJuGang.When her brother went to see
the coach , Tang Jiu Hong(only 5 years old then)
went with him. The coach found that she had the
potential to be a good badminton player. Because she
was tall and slender, and she was very brave. Thus,
she became a badminton player accidentally.
Sometime, she was tricky too . Once, they were asked
to take a cross-country run, she was the first one
to finish it. But later, they found that she had
taken a short cut , and she got punished for that.
WenJuGang said"She was very tough mentally, never
gave up, like a boy sometime. That is a necessity to
be a good player " . He also said that , sometimes
the game was so hard that tears came out without her
control , but she could still controll herself and
played well , more often, she would win in the end.
she was very clever, both on court and off court,
often got high sores in examination at school^_^

 

searched several places , can't find the exact heigth, but i guess it's around 170 to 175cm. i think now the tallest women player is XieXingFang, she is 178cm

that skiny looking actually caused her a lot of trouble, some coach thought she was not good for badminton and that made a lot of trouble in her career
