The end of Fran-Rendra's partnership in 1 month BREAKING NEWS [this week]: I just learned that PBSI's National Team Head Coach, Christian Hadinata, have sent a letter to Fran, Rendra, Mel, and Shendy that they are now officially requested to enter the National Team [again]... Since the 4 of them have registered at the Bittburger Open and Bulgarian Open, the National team won't change that part of their schedule... However, Coach Sigit Pamungkas wants Alven-Rendra to start their debut in Dutch Open and Denmark Open... If they execute on this plan... then Rendra will be competing for 4 straight weeks in Europe... [I wonder if Rendra has the energy for this] Fran-Shendy will continue their careers in XD... the National team wants Fran to concentrate just in XD... while Mel-Shendy will continue their careers in WD as members of the National Team...
So... ..it's official, now, eh??...Sayonara to Luluk as Alvent is going on with a new partner??....Should be interesting to watch & follow..
Just wondering, why is Alvent the only one of the duo who's given 2nd chance? Why not Luluk? Hm, actually, I want to see Fran/Fernando being paired together. Dunno why. Maybe because they're brothers, they can understand each other better. Ah well, let hope be hope. Anyway, best of luck to the new pair.
Last report: Luluk will go to Japan and play for a club there... Similar to Candra... Pelatnas thinks that Alven has more potential than Luluk... And Alven will pair up well with Rendra, the power youngster... Actually, they're both not young laaah.. Rendra is 24/25, Alven is 27... Oh, Fran-Fernando is an interesting combo... they love practicing together, of course... Another future pair can be Rendra-Ahsan... after Alven retires [one day]...
Ah....so...confirms my thoughts....the XD coaches have their eyes on Fran/Shendy to be INA's no 1 XD pair in the future. The WD also needs a strong pair like Mel/Shendy to cover for Vita/Butet for the Asian Games and Uber Cup in 2 years time. As for Fran/Rendra's impending split....not sure if that's a wise decision considering they have been performing quite well so far. But, let's see how Alvent/Rendra's partnership will fare first. With the senior pairs going back to Pelatnas (such an irony, isn't it??), will Djarum continue its efforts in sending young pairs like Rizky/Albert to international tourneys? How abt roping in Rio/Davin??
whaaaat???!! oh.. finally .. hahaha.. at least luluk/alvent are not being kicked out from PBSI.. hehee.. Go. go.. make good performanceS!!!
this is good news...but im worried abt this new pairing...both rendra and alvent are considered as the smashers arent they?can both players hunt the shuttle at the net as good as net-based players (e.g. luluk )? i bet this pair will perform based on speed & powerful explosive shots!! so excited!lol
hahaha..no problemo they cant hunt the shuttle on the net as long as HARD SMASH.. and get point.. lol.. smasher player reminds me to Nova. Thanks,, there's Natsir as the defencer.. hehehe i am so off the topic..
I think Luluk will be kicked out by PBSI.....Hope Djarum will take him back as he is valuable to guide the youngters ( Just Like Eng Hian guiding Rian)....the problem is to find player that can suit his mood........Luluk is a bit strange character......
So, Fran Kurniawan/Rendra Wijaya end their partnership (for the moment) with a bang, by winning their first GP title! They have enjoyed a productive year so far and repaid Djarum's faith in them by winning 1 International Series (Austrian), 3 International Challenges (Finnish, Spanish, and Indonesia), and 1 GP (Dutch) titles + 1 runner-up spot in last week's Bulgarian GP!
congrats to both rendra and fran! btw, when will rendra make his first debut as alvent's new partner? cant wait to see them in action
fran n rendra i think productive players this year.... so, i wish they are not separate. They have good prospect. Now their level is in GP level, so hope when they back to "pelatnas' PBSI will send them to GP and GP gold frequently..... Partnering with alvent is good for rendra as alvent can lead rendra, but it won't have prospect as alvent become older.....
The problem with Fran and Rendra is that both are suited to play at the back and lack the net coverage. So, if things go according to plan, they can smash their way to victory, otherwise, if opponents decide to play tactical against them, they will face difficulties.
mayb; djarum team has own thinking... i think better for them not going to ss, as the competition though for them now.. They need to build their confidence by winning lowe rank tournament, like this year the won int. series, then int. challengge, n nw gp.... If their performance stable in GP level (gp and gold) then the next step is sending them to SS and Gold GP frequently..... I like what djarum does now... PBSI also need to follow it... or other INA club who have fund to send their player internationally....
Because its useless to send them to higher-level tourneys, only to get booted out in the first round or worst still...qualifying rounds
