Is there an easier way than scraping/running off the old glue? Takes me about 20 minutes and a sore thumb. Not my favourite job! Edit: secind one seems better, pulling v-e-r-y slowly so the glue stays attached to the grip. It's kinda satisfying.
I use a small heat gun to melt down the glue a bit and the grip just comes off. You will need to put a thin layer of cushion wrap because the glue will stick to your new grip
Heat gun seems to be a bit overkill and is not a common tool in the house. A hair dryer could achieve the same result ^^
I'm just really really careful and take it off very slowly. Every couple of millimiters I take off, I readjust and take my finger nails at the base and pull a couple more millimeters until it comes off. Obviously a big pain to do it, but it leaves less residue. You can't do it without leaving a little residue but that helps the most for me. Then whatever is left over I just take my fingernails and grind it down until it's almost nothing. It'll take a long time but how often do you buy rackets anyway?
