I'd rate injury as a smaller factor in his lost. It may be one of them. The others may be either lost of confidence, inconsistency and maybe him not being too used to the new scoring system. I'm not a huge fan of his, more of LDs but i know his standard and that was c**p he played compared to past games . Was hoping LD would win 'slightly' over him(for a great match)..not steamroll him straight over.

I agree wit the fashion statement above though. Im glad they're at least trying to change around though. Better than staying constant.

They're both using the Armortec 700.

..i'd say, "his lost of confidence, inconsistency" are part of him struggling with his back injury; and him getting used to the new scoring system are 2 factors of his total failure...are they excusable??..i'd say no and i'm sure Taufik will agree with me..but Taufik has been playing poorly like that since his match against Korea's LeeHI(which INA barely won)..and then he lost to Shoji also.. :p

Yeah I noticed that many Pros are using the Armortec 700 & 800DE. Hmm, maybe I should give them another chance.

Also, did anyone noticed that Lin Dan wasn't playing his top game as well? I guess he can't since Taufik wasn't playing well at all huh?

hehe, which one??..the one which he put a drubbing all over Taufik in straight sets??..hmm, well with that score, LD looked fine/better than Taufik to me, even if LD "wasn't playing his top game"...hehe:p ;)

    --------------------------------

Even when playing at 60 % Taufik was able to outfox and make LD look silly

in the 1st set, imagine the outcome if TH was fully fit.

I am no TH supporter but LD should work on his racquet skills,

They are far below those of Sun Jun or all the China greats of the 80s.

I think Chen Jin will make a better all round player.

Even so you can't deny that he is in fact world number 1 and no one can take him down easily withuot a fight. Different player has different strength and weakness and as long as LD is winning the game then he is still considerable strongest. Regardless if he is all around, having best racquet skills or not.

yes... I am agree with above.

yes... I am agree with above.

You can tell someone is a good badminton player, if he win alot of tournament "see from reality"

Lin Dan is one example. Although not always win, but he won alot of tournaments compare other badminton player. Doesnt matter big or small.
Only in Olympic 2004 was his disaster. Die in 2nd Round against Ronald Susilo. Beside that maybe lost in Semi Final or Final

No player have such good badminton career like him.
    Any comment ?

Quite surprised to see that Taufik has no muscle definition. Quite surprised.

Maybe this shirt design will force the badminton players to train their muscles. I believe better muscles do help your game, especially todays fast attacking game. No bulky muscles of course, but ripped muscle definition like those of Lin Dan's 6 pack or even better, like Bruce Lee's. That'll draw the crowd.

Hey, I like Zhang Ning's outfit. The skirt she wears sure allows us a good view of her lovely legs.

Agree. Sorry but these shirt designs were terrible. They need to go back to the clean, classy looking shirts.

I don't see how having better racquet skills would not allow taufik to "outfox" LD. Surely outfoxing is deception, better tactics and strategy, confusing, wrongfooting, making LD chase the game? Of course it is always nice to have better racquet skills, but just that factor wouldn't stop Taufik from outfoxing LD again.

Lin Dan today gave a very polished performance against Gade, reminds

one of Zhao you know who.

Having a wider repertore of strokes may help to vary the game plan,

TH plays a very economical game and gets cheap ponits with little effort whilst LD has to work very hard for his points.

Maybe LD can learn a little from INa or predecessors to take his game a notch higher, otherwise Lee CW with Li Mao's help is knocking, maybe Chen Jing too.

Look what happened to Chen Hong after 2003.

Lin Dan style always seems to be adjusted according to the opponent. He plays crap if he is only defeating a crap opponent. He seldom always play extra hard.
