Since I really not like my puke-green colored machine, I decided to try repaint it.

It's a little bit of a daredevilness thing to do, but why not if there is a chans to end up happier.

Feel free to give me some comments and tips if you have experience of doing this! :)

First I have disassembled one tower, sanded with 400paper, cleaned it with red alcohol and spray-paint it with professional industry paint.

This is as far I have come by now... More updates will come!

Dude, how can anyone NOT like this color?!

And why haven't you just ordered it as the black "limited" version then?!

Apart from that I'm really looking forward to seeing the results.

people who like to string their own rackets are by nature tweakers, we love to make mods to our machines.

kudos to you! look forward to the result.

Oops! Sorry s_mair for "puke-green", we can say Lambo-green instead! ;)

It's not that bad, I can give you that. I did ordered the black limited version, but it was out of stock.

Kwun just see right through me...he nailed the biggest reason why I give myself some extra job here...have allways been a customized guy, and also the paint job was actually a bit poor on my machine.

In some places you can see the bare metal.

it takes one to know one! :D

there is certain curiosity, a strive for perfection, and the satisfaction with improving an existing machinery that makes it so much fun. in fact, looking through this stringing forum, many stringers love to tweak, we not only want to tweak the stringing process, understand how it works, we also want to tweak our tools.

    it is pretty awesome really.

Lambo calls it "Verdi Mantis". Top Gear reviewed the Huracan in that colour, and my mouth actually started watering.

Might be a bit of synesthesia on my part - I love sour sweets, and that colour makes me taste something sour:).

Haha! For your satisfaction... I promise you that if I buy a Huracan it will be in puke-green, but for my machine is this the last Verdi Mantis days left! ;)

Don't bother painting the base - consider it carbon-fibre alloys and save your ink;).

Btw, my Veneno will be Verde Mantis - I called dibs ages ago.

Start on second tower. I have paied alot of attention to groundwork......sooooo boring, but it pays of in the end.

The quality on the paint job on the first tower is completely mindblowing, I'm very happy with what this is going to be!

    Files some leftover edges

actually, this looks like a well built machine.

I might be moving to a smaller place in the future, and not have the space for the Gamma, would it be a good option to downsize?

Yes, I guess it would if you will use it as topp table for put it away...breifly with floor stand. My pictures are lying taken from odd angels. I can take some pictures with my Premiumstringer by side for comparison when the T50 is finished.
