yup... exactly... likes it after my 1st time using it... the feel... the durability... all match my requirements... although the price is a bit high... but pretty much worth it... so... u gonna get 1 urself? hehe... gonna meet hola from Sg maybe in City Square to pass him the RCL Titanium he wanted soon...
I stay inSG actually. Anyways, replied to your pm and perhaps you can just post them to me. I do not think they will charge anything for this small order. Hope to hear from you soon!
i think by ranking 1. RCL no.1 / Sealion C1100 2. Yang yang 300b tactic./ RSL Silver feather. 3. S. Arrow black 4. Sarrow ibf approved superior 101s / RSL Official / epsilon green 5. S. Arrow Silver 6. S. Arrow Red
last week i just get my free trial shuttle from RCL.. they gave me Platinium Gold & titanium Gold to try.... after i had try the shuttle i would like to write some comment here- Platinium gold(77)- good in speed, can last for 3 set(1 match) four player smash alot... but the shuttle still can fly steady till the end of game... titanium gold(77)-fast in speed ,if those who get used to yonex AS30/40 can get this shuttle to replace it...quite durable, and it can compare to the speed that yonex got.... and last is the price also reasonable
Finally opened the RCL #1 speed 76. Overall, flight is excellent but a tad fast. The good thing is it maintains its flight for the entire 15pt game although the game did not really last that long 15:4 with quite a few service rotations. The shuttle still looks quite new and useable for at least another game. The only complaint is, it's almost the same speed as an EG1130 at speed 50 (typically 77). If the shuttle does last the entire 2nd game, it's definitely worth the asking price.
speed 76 and still fast? the atmosphere in the court u played tat dry? coz most ppl who complains on 77 too fast found 76 perfect... anyway, maybe nx time u can try on speed 75 instead...
Brother, you are tempting me... We most likely will stay with 76 for now -- luckily I went for all 76 after reading the reviews here .
oh? did i tempt u? ahh... icic, survey b4 buying is definitely the wiser choice... but even if you come to me at 1st place, i will also advise u bout the speed 1st... ok then... waitin for ur nx visit
RCL Gold No.1 RCL has launched a new model called RCL Gold No.1 not long ago. It is of the lower grade than the popular RCL Titanium, but in the same price range as the RSL Tourney No.1. So far it has been receiving quite good responses in KL and Selangor. Give it a try!
Recently have tried a RCL New Classic shuttlecock, just feel it's a bit light the hitting feeling is bit weird. But its ok for the durability, we used up to 3~4pieces per two 21points game with moderate smash. I have tried some RCL shuttlecock from time to time but I just feel weird that the speed 77 is way too fast compare RSL, Protech or even Yonex and the shop here only sell speed 77.
ya, some of my customers also said 77 is a lil bit too fast... however there are still some of them saying 76 is too slow for them and insist they want 77... I guess sometimes this is due to the weather condition and also the badminton hall atmosphere... coz this will also affect the shuttle speed... therefore sometimes i will ask them where they play and wat shuttle n speed they used often... I dun realli get wat u mean by feeling weird when using RCL shuttlecock... mind to elaborate in more details? as i noe on RCL shuttle, their cork is softer comparing to the other brand... maybe perhaps tis is the reason? since u used RSL.. Protech and also Yonex... may i noe where are you from and where you bought it? ^^
For Malaysia speeds 76 and 77 should be the range. The only way to determine which speed on each brand is suitable for a particular hall is to test it. You test the shottle speed simply by using an underhand stroke, which makes contact with the shuttle over the back boundary line. This will mean your left foot (one in front) should be just behind the back boundary line). The shuttle shall be hit at an upward angle and in the direction parallel to the side lines. The correct speed shuttle should land not less than 530 mm and not more than 990 mm short of the other back boundary line. As a rough guide the shuttle should land within 11" in front and about 7.5" behind the back doubles service line. Different players in a group with different levels will mean varing distances, in which case you use the speed of the average player. This way, everyone can play a full court-length badminton. For ladies it would be better to use speed 77 or even 78 for the poor hitters. There is no one speed fits all. The correct speed is the one that passes the above test.
Thanks Taneepak for the clear explanation. In my opinion, speed does not reflect the quality of a shuttlecock though speed is something you need to consider when purchasing shuttlecocks. Speed label of 1 brand may differ from the other. Speed 76 of 1 brand may mean 77 of the other depending on how the speed testing was run. As long as you find the quality of a shuttlecock is good, you can choose the correct speed of a particular brand to suit your play. If you can read Chinese, I found that this article particularly good. It says the most important factors to consider the quality of a shuttlecock are a. Flight Stability b. Durability Speed is something you need to consider but does not reflect the quality. http://www.crsa.com.cn/zsykj/wyq/648.aspx
