The JPN pair is not very impressive... but they managed to take out Mak/TWK and Chen/Lin..

I think I know why the JPN pair caused two upsets to reach here...
Although they are not the speed and power type, you see every point they get, no matter how far they trail, they will shout. Their fighting spirit is second to none. And their mental strength is also very strong. They can take down pairs who is more powerful and faster than them with the cool tactical play, and fighting spirit.

Semifinal spot for second seed Kido/Setiawan, next step they will take on either Ko/Yoo or Endo/Hayakawa.

Yes. That is why they were totally outplayed today. But you see their fighting spirit and all... no wonder they beat Mak/TWK and Chen/Lin. I don't feel ashamed that my favourite pair will lose to this Japanese pair.

Congratulations to Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan, beat Hirobe Yoshiteru/Kazuno Kenta 21-11; 21-16.
