Well, we are of Chinese descent :D
So, they were quite surprised when we supported any non-Chinese players

One little girl even asked her mum: "is that guy Indian (she is too young to differentiate between India and Indonesia)?"

LOL, then where did they think the players came from ? Imported from China? Only 2 of Msian MD are non-Chinese. Our MS = LCW, WCH, YeohKB are Chinese. Our 2 junior XD pairs are Chinese. The women too - WMC, WPT/CEH, Julia Wong.

I'm Malaysian Chinese, so if I ever save enuf money to go to China, I should bring a Msia flag and wave it every time our players go on court, shouting Msian BOLEH every 10 seconds.

I did watch the game next day on GDTV rebroadcast the match; however, I did not record it..sorry.

I think LCW has been using slow-pace tempo for his game since the injure in Europe tournament. It has been effective to capture opponent's strategy and effective on defensive end. When you play fast and furious, you weaker your defensive end. LCW changes the tempo when it comes close to the end of the game to finish it up.

Same tactic was used on BCL game but the trailing too much after several bad calls. He did try to use fast and furious tempo, at the same time his defensive end was weaker and BCL played very well and took advantage of it

Likewise, Team INA started to do well after the Singapore Open Super Series 2007.

Singapore Open 2007 -- Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa (XD)
    Indonesia Open 2007 -- NIL
China Masters 2007 -- Vita Marissa/Lilyana Natsir (XD)
Japan Open 2007 -- Tony Gunawan/Candra Wijaya (MD)
    Denmark Open 2007 -- NIL
French Open 2007 -- Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa (XD)
China Open 2007 -- Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir (XD) and Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan (MD)

May this trend continue for the last leg of the SS this year in Hong Kong! A title will be more than enough :D

    In reflection..

..of the thread's title, and as i mentioned in another post before, after all the other factors have been put together (ie. skill, court-smart/mental preparation), professional fitness/stamina is still the key for any player to win in any tourney(s), not just in this particular tourney; and esp. in Singles play..
