Well Goh/Tan had gone through SF beating their juniors. Ong/Teo are still national team players?

21 years old Loh Kean Yew reaches first ever semifinal in Super 300 tournament, a breakthrough for his badminton career. Loh stuns more favoured Wang Tzu Wei, both players have similar explosive fast attacking style but Wang ran out of steam in deciding game. Two more steps for the Singaporean qualifier to create sensational victory here, Brice Leverdez is his next rival to clear, then one of China representative in last round as Lin Dan will meet younger compatriot Lu Guangzu. Still struggling feat by Lin how he beat opponents en route to final four including the less experienced Malaysian Cheam June Wei yesterday. A big question whether two-time Olympic Champion could overcome the resilient yet agile Lu.

Fitriani maintains her momentum to progress further, almost tasted first round defeat when she made miraculous turnaround against Lee Ying Ying, the Indonesian bounced back from losing first game in last eight to dispose Yeo Jia Min and sets up a meeting with HKG player Deng Joy Xuan who upsets one of title contenders Michelle Li, 21-13 / 21-19. Host Thailand has secured WS final spot through Busanan against the rising star Pornpawee Chochuwong, the former needed hard effort to down Saena Kawakami in quarterfinal.

MAS independent pair Goh VS/Tan WK display convincing performance so far along this tournament and highly favourite to progress into finale versus Japan combination Koga/Saito. TPE familiar duo Lu CY/Yang PH stand on the opposite draw who will face Goh SF/Izzuddin, the latter suffer 1-5 negative head to head stats to their today's foe.

Women's doubles semifinal presents colorful landscape, Asia and Europe with top two seeds out of competition yesterday. Defending champion Kititharakul/Prajongaji lost to their fellow countrywomen while current TPE Super 300 winner Matsuyama/Shida halted by Li WM/Zheng Y. Puttitta/Sapsiree have Russian challengers Bolotova/Davletova while China relatively new partnerships Li/Zheng will meet Netherlands tandem Piek/Seinen.

The frontrunners and last year winner Chan PS/Goh LY will be tested by HKG experimenting pair Tang Chun Man who paired up with Ng Tsz Yau than his usual partner Tse Ying Suet. All Thailand semifinal affairs will involve home favourite Puavaranukroh/Taerattanachai and Phuangphuapet/Amitrapai.

Looks like the youtube coverage is not region blocked this time. Well, at least not in Australia.
Normally it was blocked here since China Open till WTF last year.

Hopefully this will continue for the rest of the year. Can't watch proper live streams using VPN with my internet connection somehow.

G1 went to LB easily 21-14.

Will LKY be able to bounce back in G2?

LKY quickly amassed 5-0 in G2 now.

No chance to view the match. Is LB out of steam so early?

And now it is 8-1 to LKY.
LB may be conserving his energy for G3.

At the interval LKY scored 11-5. Surely he is going to take this G2 unless LB has other ideas.

Now it is 18-8 for LKY, which makes it near impossible for LB to succeed.

LKY wraps up G2 with a commanding 21-10.
Will the young Singaporean be able to knock out the experienced veteran in G3 and claim an unlikely place in the final?

G3 started cautiously with neither side giving away too much 2-all.

But the more energetic LKY pushes up a gear to lead 5-4 now.

It will be a tight race between the two, it seems.
