Currently there is no draw or players listed yet.. so cant make any predictions.

But most likely Kim/Ra will be joining and winning their division. :)

    My take

I won't put Choon Hann as the title contender as he seems lost lately. I would once again give the Chinese the title as so many of them are capable including Lin dan, Chen Hong, Chen Yu, Xia Xuanze, Boa Chulai. How many Chinese players can Choon Hann, Peter Gade, Taufik, Lee Hyun Il overcome before they can squeeze into final. Quite impossible come to think of it.
Picking any non-chinese player to win MS is going to be wrong anyway then I might as well pick the least probable Lee Chong Wei. How about that ?

    We will see

Don't be surprise as Chinese does have the depth to play this type of arrangement games. Seriously, I don't know and it's unconfirmed, you didn't hear from me :)

    Re: Yongbo order

I really hope so. but i am afraid that it is impossible! maybe Li Yongbo will told lin to lose to xia...because of xia's poor olympic points

if bao chunlai beat lin dan in the Korea open, it is bao's real ability but not anything else. i always believe that bao is strong enough to win the olympic gold medal although i am not sure whether china will send him to athens...

It's really interesting to note that Choong / Lee had suddenly emerged as favourites of late, esp after their infamous AE 2004 heartbreak. Does this really mean that they are really getting there? Or is it just hype?

they show momentum. but then, hey, knowing them, they could be flying at 1000mph one day, and then crashing into a brickwall the other.... :) but good thing is, there seems to be Yap there now to remind them every once in a while, "keep your eyes on the road and focus..."

Perhaps the only thing left to really strengthen for them is from the mental, to avoid choking on the crucial moment if they ever get handcocked again.

I hope they can put that unfortunate incident all behind them. I also hope it has not caused any upheaval between the pair. It was a crisis then but looking back at it now, it was merely a good joke as well as a good lesson. They should just have a good laugh then move on to prove themselves. I can’t help to be impressed with their AE victory over Lars Paaske-Jonas Rasmussen then Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng. I am sure they will put up a good show this time.
So is Chong Hann, it’s time to show his true color.
Lee Chong Wee is very skillful but he needs to be more tactical and composed to make big kills.
Looks like BAM need to hire some good psychologists.
    Go, Malaysia!

Brave bets, da ding and I like your style, rooting for the underdogs! Sadly, it may be ultra hard to happen, with China dominating MS, WS, WD; Korea with XD and MD being everybody but hey, it would be a fresh change to have HK sweep it all.

Imagine Ng Wei defeating Lin Dan in the finals in a thrilling 3 set encounter, all three into deuce; Wang Chen outplaying Gong Ruina, Liu/Susanto edging out Cai/Fu; Koon/Ling edging Yang/Zhang as well as Njoto/Wang ending Kim/Ha's winning streak (hell no! ;) ) - it's going be every bit as refreshing to badminton as whole.

    I like that! :)

(not to mention the HK vs CHN victories which may be abused ie politicised...)

    WS: ask Li YB
    WD: as LYB

He is both the chief coach as well as the chief physician of the China team anyway.

A sarcastic look at the matter but nonetheless, quite credible. It could apply to MS as well... ;)

Definitely not Sonny Dwi Kuncoro or Simon Santoso, both will skip Korean but appear in Japan. [from Indonesian newspaper]
