Playing after long break

    Thanks for your advice on the benefits of weights and will take that onboard,
    I never gave it a thought it might be beneficial to my predicament.

    Hooking up with lower level players was my plan when I went back tentatively after my first rupture,
    after 5+ yrs of inactivity, I joined a social Badminton group where 90% of player were a certain vintage,
    at 58 I was the youngest on court but the one who broke down, it was so gut wrenching when history repeated itself.

    Just over 3 months back now and playing competitively for a club, kept par against a Uni first team, was thinking they were going to destroy me but my game came back.

    Strings back at 27lbs and jump smashing and my body seems to be able to take it. Surprised to be doing this late 40s, looks like the weight training over the past few years has paid off. I don't know how long this will last but it's amazing to be playing at this level.
