I noticed lately countries like Indonesia and China 'exports' a lot of players around the world. How does this works?

according to tournamentsoftware site, tony gunawan (US) with chandra wijaya (INA)

    Xu Huaiwen (GER)
    Yao Jie (NED)
    etc...

    This has been queried before..

...lurker, you can try in this link, one of a few that i can remember:
    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23497 (try post#5)..;)
Basically, from what i know, for "Open" tournaments, anyone from any countries can play w/ other players from different countries. Hence the name "Open"..
It happened recently also when a NZ player(male) partnered with another M'sian player(female). Tony G. even partnered with another Taiwan player(female) 2 yrs ago in the Taipei Open.;)

No, they would have to fulfill other immigration requirements as well. However, it is a possibility.
