Congrats to ycchen, Dmitry and badders7 for making it to the podium for this last PAW. Dmitry perhaps played it too safe to allow yc to come back from behind. But my heartiest congrats go to our very own teammate Jessica for maintaining her 7th position despite some uncertainties over her PAWs. And of course, what a final it was for Malaysia which captured 3 out of 5 titles at stake and made a big haul of the richest US$500,000 prize ever on offer at any badminton international. LCW, KKK/TBH and WPT/CEH deserved their biggest pay packets. Just sorry that China missed all the excitement and the $$$.
Congratulations to all podium finishers! My fellow teammate badders7 had a very high chance to win with 3 picks left going into the finals. After Nova/Liliyana lost, badders7 just needed 2 out 3 picks to overake Dmitry and ycchen to claim the title. But luck was definitely not on his side when both KKK/TBH & WPT/CEH won their respective matches. Anyway, well done to him for yet another solid performance!

Congrats to ycchen, Dimitry and badders7. Once again, familiar names rise to the top of the standings. Luckily for me, ycchen hit form one tournament too late.
Last Saturday was a really bad day for me. Played badly, broke the new racket:crying:, then went home and deleted the winning MDSF pick (11 points!). Then, very disappointed, instead of picking 8 safe points on LCW, decided it's too little, 9 is better, and staked on Widianto/Natsir... On Sunday, to finish it off, they wasted 3 match points and lost. I was pretty sure I will be out of podium, but the next matches finished in my favor. What can I say? I played with some strategy from the very beginning, but at the end it turned out a game of luck. Congratulations to ycchen (it was your luck that you outrun me) and badders7 (it was my luck that you didn't outrun me)! And thanks to Sandy!
yeah...i must admit luck is on my side this time after so many times it went against me.... i chose LCW after watching his match against Taufik Hidayat..i've never seen LCW in such a fit condition before this and i knew he stood a very big chance to win this time... but to be frank, i thought Badders would have taken his chance to overtake me and Dmitry....

Congrats to all podium finishers. I couldn't concentrate with the PAWing strategies this time, with so many players around me ....... but almost managed a top 20 position if not for PAWing against Wong/Chin.
Yes luck wasn't on my side in the end, but I'm still happy with my performance Guessing wrong on only 4 picks out of 28 when it's the worlds best players(minus china) who meet, is very much acceptable in my opinion My strategy was clear all the way through, to only pick on what I thought was safe picks, even if it meant I could only get 7, 8 or 9 points. I didn't want to risk too much as I thought a lot of the matches with high points was difficult to predict, so it wouldnt be worth it in the end. Congratualtions to Dmitry and ycchen who managed to beat me, well done! With a little more luck I had beaten you guys as well, but you deserve it just as much as me for also only being incorrect on 3 and 4 picks! Nova/Liliyana missing 3 matchpoints for Dimitry to grap the win was even more unlucky than the two matches I picked wrongly on finals day! Also a big thanks to Sandy for his huge efforts in keeping the PAW game running for all of this year... Hope to have many good PAW games with all of you in 2009
