Just another sign of how badminton is a second-rate sport where player safety is secondary to budget constraints.

If I was Poul-Erik Høyer Larsen, this situation would not have happened anymore.

I promise to 7 billion people on the world, I will do something right now.

Really hoping that Watanabe limping off at the end isn't anything serious. I cannot understand how it is so difficult for them to just secure the carpet better.

Soon, all the MAS flags will be on the right side. This is the current state of badminton in MAS.

This is a matter of how the system works, how bwf takes care of the players, I don't believe this is a budget issue.

Just 1000 usd and the problem will be solved. If bwf don't have money (funny)

Just ask Yonex and they will give 10 meter wide of the green carpet.

Just ask Yonex, Li Ning or Victor (sponsors).

Fantastic display by Sindhu. Defeated Zhang Yiman in straight games very comfortably. 21-12, 21-10 is the score

I learned that they'll replace all the carpets overnight with a better quality ones that won't tear. But this should have been taken care of when it happened the last time! Whoever made the decision not to replace the carpet when it happened the first time was very irresponsible! Yuta has all the right to pursue legal action if the injury is serious!

Well done to Malaysia in beating Nagahara and Matsumoto - two straight games as well!

I checked other courts, and guess what ??? a lot of "patched trace" on orange carpet.

Just imagine Federer, Nadal, Djokovic fell like that, twice or third.

But.... yeah..., just Watanabe, Zheng Siwei, Huang Yi Lyu,... so it's just a LIGHT FELL..

More importantly, it gives them the self belief.

Once the JPN girls play the shuttle to Thinah, MAS loses the point.
Pearly Tan is doing all the hard work from the rear court. I can partner her and maybe win some matches. :D

Are the JPN girls not talking to each other?

Both of them played well . 2 sides make a coin not one. So, we should not blame one particular individual. And also, Tan made so many errors too.
JPN girls does not have mutual understanding it seems. Both are angy towards each other

Choi is so angy on court. I don't know what happened? He left the court immediately without waiting for the partner or the umpire or anybody else. Weird.
