I think for the sake of a peaceful BC....

..we should all just AGREE to what quisitor has said...agree, quisitor??..:p :D ;)
Btw, sorry, we don't know if quisitor is a he or she, so calling quisitor Mr. Q is probably not appropriate..:p ;)

By reading these 2 threads, I see 1 thing in common is: someone trying to enforce his/her OWN ideas by "playing GOD". The trick is very simple: list a tons of "theory" (more or less support his/her own ideas), then introduce the theory to the public as "if you listen to me, you are a good boy". If you don't, "you are against the nature" etc.

A lot of the arguments that Mr. Q brought up are more like to be "political incorrect" type of statements. And once you issue your opposite ideas, you immediately being categorized, based on his/her own rule book.

    Oh well...

..me think quisitor is a very lucky person...s/he probably didn't expect this much "warm" replies from his/her Intro..;)

Actually, I think s/he fully expect this, and this is actually the real intention to "draw more attention" after the previous "adjust net height" discussion beame a laugh stock and failed him/her miserbly in a way.

Again, it's fine to issue own point of view. However, please don't "playing god", and put on a generous "helping new users guide line" mask. All these just make me feel sick.

I don't really understand the need or his intentions of creating a list of users.

I can't say I care too much for the issue.

However, I ask a mod to remove the list of users. There is absolutely no reason for individuals to be singled out in such a way as this, whether it is to their benefit or detriment (it could be either or both in this situation).

Especially considering the subjective and unofficial nature of the list-making.

I'm not really for censorship tho, it takes away the privilege from the poster to express freely and readers to judge freely. I think the best is if the affected member doesn't feel comfortable with it, let him decide and make request to the mod by pm. Beside, cooldoob6 seem to not mind at all.:D

quisitor... what makes you think that everyone will give the correct information, and sometimes we or readers misintrepret because we do not have perfect english. Even if you stated that we do not mean to mislead others, I dont understand why you would say everyone else except that few from your list is not reliable and infomation we give out is false? and you said avoid reading them? why then everyone should just stop posting and let the few reliable users tell each other the correct infomation?
moreover, some of us compare our situations, alot of times 2 similar situations, and users discuss and share their experiences to figure out whats going on,
also, if giving information about playing techniques alot of times its totally another case for 2 different people, for example, one might feel that he needs to use backhand grip for a backhand, while another which has a stronger arm says that backhand grip is not needed to do a backhand, then THIS is where they discuss why and how. If you feel that information on this forum is misleading alot of users or even you, for you, you can get a coach... or you can suggest how to post properly so as not to confuse others, because alot of times people are giving opinions thats why they say IMO, and the reason they say that is because the information and solutions seems to work for them...
hey by the way, you put your name on the "avoid reading" list, so does it mean you dont know anything as well???..... then how do you know that those people you claim reliable are giving you the correct information.... unless you tried out all the solutions they give you

lol cooler, you're right, if exact correct information is expected from everyone then not alot will qualify for this forum and Kwun would have long closed it down, cause NO ONE KNOWS EVERYTHING, we are here to share our opinions

It seems Quisitor has stirred up the hornets' nest by bruising too many egos. As the title of the thread indicated: the list is the people he would read. If people don't like his list, they can always create their own list - just like they endlessly make lists of their favourite strings, rackets, grips, shoes, t-shirts, elixir of ever lasting youth, etc, etc.

I thought that this place was about sharing ideas, not a popularity contest.

Quisitor's posing as an arbiter of BC quality is an act of such breathtaking arrogance that I'm disappointed not to have done it myself. I thought that I could be pretty smug (it comes with an Oxford education, darling, but I'm a natural), but I bow to a true master.

Now, don't be harsh on people. It's not like anyone here has tried to tell everyone else who to listen to, how to act, and patronised their ability to judge for themselves.

Oh wait. You did, just now.
