Lol, what's with the team championship draws and India, always in group of death.
China was unseeded and floated to groupA with the #1 seeds Korea.
Lakshya though won both his matches, he's improved a lot, let's wait for the individual event

Also, this event has no livescore? I wonder why. Even Pan-Am Junior has livescores for both team and individual events.

Goh Jin Wei retired injured, again.
INA gets two point from her withdrawal in WS/WD. Tough luck for MAS.

Day 1 Individual Events has started.

    WS category gives surprise:

Myanmar's WS named Thet Htar Thuzar comes from nowhere and managed to topple the 6th seed, Chananchida Jucharoen [THA] in rubber game 21-19, 12-21, 21-15

Interesting to see which player/pair can win the Asian Junior Championship this time. Team CHN is not top seed anymore, maybe it is not possible for them to sweep all title like last year.

Also, why did Gregoria Mariska withdrawn? I expected her to win the title this year.

Goh Jin Wei also withdrawn injured from the WS ? A pity, she and Gregoria are good for the final.

I think Goh Jin Wei was only joining Team Event and wasn't included in WS individual.

Does anyone know why Japan didn't have any players taking part in the individual tournament?

I agree that no livescore is very bad. There is great interest in the juniors and if not live telecast at least livescore should be available.

Indeed, I hadn't noticed the absence of Japanese players in the individual event. It's goes to show that junior tournaments , with the exception perhaps of the World Juniors, are generally taken lightly, esp by the fancied nations/players.

Well, except for JPN players, I don't think other fancied nations like KOR, INA are taking lightly of this tournament.
CHN team, only a few can actually compete in this tournament due to low ranking, I suppose they are taking lightly of tournaments these day.
