That is the World Mixed Team Ranking, nice for Sudirman Cup, but useless for ranking teams for Thomas and Uber Cups. As far as I can remember, for Thomas and Uber Cups, the ranking is calculated by summing up the ranking points of the top 3 singles and top 2 doubles.
MAS was dead serious until they made sure they qualified. For that reason, they could not have brought ZZ to the tournament since there is limit of 10.
It is not Asian Team Championships, of that I have no doubt. BAC screwed up somewhere. This thread is here only because BWF kept to their antiquated way of providing ranking points for team tournaments (What? A standard 10% of points regardless of win/loss or how many matches played etc.) and treating every team tournament the same. That said, I do not have a good suggestion of a way to give ranking points to a player in a team tournament.
