Everyone has seen here, this WC were dominated by China...

They took 5 gold medals, but also dominated the WS (3 medals out of 4), and WD (the same), while the Uber team was defeated by the Korean team at Ucup..

Some upsets : LCW, LD, WYH..

So what is your conclusion on this WC, in term of Badminton ?

Also the two MS uncles PG and TH, loved by the crowd, managed to bring medals to Indonesia & Denmark..

Denmark is the only European country to take medals, Lady Pi failed in her home soil...:(

..the CHN team redeemed their failure (for the UC squad) in this yr's UC Final loss..
Watch out for them in the upcoming Asian Games!

No doubt China did perform well in the tournament. LCW's and Lin Dan's departure seems premature but not really. Some "insiders" expect them to lose. Koreans did their best. And we have seen alot of players from Chinese Taipei performing better than expected. Malaysia however still depends on their No1. Personally i don't think Malaysia is a Badminton Powerhouse anymore. Every tournament it seems that there are more China,Korean,Japanese,Chinese Taipei and some European flags in the draws. Other countries are catching up and we are still the same. The last time we saw many Malaysia flags around... i can't even remember when.

Kudos to the Paris Organizers in organizing this spectacular event. Even though the hall is small, but the supporters is passionate about the game. Supporting both local players as well as foreigners and enjoying the game passionately. All praises to everyone who in involved in the committee as well as people like Raphy and those Bcers who promoted this event well. :)

I'm trying to find the "Winners" page on TS but the website doesn't work, looks like their server is too busy..
Can someone draw a medals ranking of the countries ?
By the number of medals, by draw and their colour...

Summary about feedback from CHN team and chinese media about CHN's sweep:

    LYB:
    http://sports.sina.com.cn/o/2010-08-30/01515174395.shtml

1.CHN badminton team is the best team in all sports in China (he hope to target Table tennis, as he is always suspicious of national sports administration's bias towards former head coach of chinese table tennis team, and diving, weightlifting, shooting.......)

    2. WYH is out for AG in Guangzhou. WX,WSH and WL will represent CHN for WS in Guangzhou

    3. ZB is back. Team CHN will give him opportunity

    WL in WS
    http://sports.sina.com.cn/o/2010-08-29/23015174098.shtml

It is difficult to be leader just for one victory, especially as WS in China.......let's see LL and ZL

    CY/FHF in MD
    http://sports.sina.com.cn/o/2010-08-30/01355174383.shtml

    1. The ultimate target: SOG2012 in London
    2. praise diamond and insist they have less pressure

    ZB in XD

    dream comes true!thanks boss!

    CJ in MS
there is rumor about him.......especially private life........i guess majority of people knew it:)

    http://sports.sina.com.cn/o/2010-08-30/03025174477.shtml
    1. CJ is still available but seemingly he has many female friends.......
    2. He is very close with some chinese entertainment stars.......google davidliu........

Watching the early rounds I was really impressed by the performance and enthusiasm of the smaller countries especially those from East Europe eg. Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania and others like Finland,Guatemala,Nigeria and especially Rusia.
They are actually very talented players lacking exposure and probably support.
I think badminton is really growing and BWF is doing a good job and China is leading the way, LYB is motivating people everywhere to beat his players.

once again, de chinese dragon fire exterminated de indon garudas and malaysian hari-hari maus.
li yongbo as supercoach extradonaire continued china's supreme dominance in world badminton.

china doesn't need the world to progress, i'm sure its own domestic league is higher level of competition.
we also see de rise of Chen Jin as de new men's singles numero uno.
with this win will give him de confidence and aura to completely eclipse de likes of datuk and spoilt-brat taufik.

I noticed LD was outed by seeded 13, both games 21-13 :D:)

For the second time after 1987 in Beijing, China bring the whole gold package..
Only 6 countries (China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Korea/Taipei/Denmark in the medal ranking order) brought the 20 medals..

Just have a look at the BWF ranking section and it's funny to see that :

Zheng Bo & Ma Jin are currently ranked #60

Cai Yun & Fu HaiFeng are currently ranked #28

Wang Lin is currently ranked #13

and they all won the 2010 World Championships :)
