dwrecckk, for now, i think it's fine to get a monthly membership at other baddy clubs. The last i heard they'll be open is sometimes in December...but my gut says, it'll get postponed again..

Couldn't agree with you more. Wish I could win the lottery and build my own badminton gym.

If I can only teleport to those badminton gyms in SGV or better yet move to that place. :D

I was wondering if anyone knew if SGV had a discount for buying multiple months? I know ABC will wave the initiation fee and sell 3 months of membership for 110....seems like SGV is just 32 dollar initiation with 36 monthly

..from what i know, usually clubs will have discounts for multiple months, esp. if one signs up for a yr.
Yes, ABC offers a 3 months membership, but at $100, not $110. That's the last i know or maybe they've changed the pricing in the last 2 or so weeks.
Can read a bit more here on that ABC's deal of 3 months membership for $100 (start w/post #25):

In my opinion I don't think this place would be better than LABC just because of the fact LABC was built from the ground up for badminton. LABC cost 4-6 million to build. Most clubs in the USA are converted warehouses. Just like SGV2 will be a converted warehouse also.

Checkout LABC and their rates. They use/used to have $120 for 3 months in summer, you may want to go to LABC to check out if they have such deal available now. If they do, you won't be regret playing there!!!

I signed up for ABC last night, sorry for doubting you ctjcad, they are indeed running a 3 month special for 100 dollars right now, but the usual rate is 110. I'm a total novice, so I don't have any problems going to ABC for the time being to just work on my basics. After 3 months I will reconsider other clubs in the area. Thanks guys.

    From SGVBC:
"Sorry it's been so long. We might be looking at early 2011 at the earliest. We are just waiting for the city to approve the CC&R, which could be approved anytime. Once that happens, we will sign the lease and start construction. Construction should only take two months or so.
Thank you for your interest and patience in our new location."

Looks likes it's getting postponed til next year =(

    off topic:
..3 months at ABC (or any other clubs) for now should be fine while you (and others) wait for the opening..So, hopefully they'll have the opening by the time your ABC membership expires..
Abt the price deal, i talked to the front desk personnel and i was told the 3 months/$100 is the current special price/promotion. And that $110/3 months can be applied at any time, just don't know when..
