    Has the recipe for fire changed? Latest reel feels softer and more rubbery like ultimax. It could just be difference due to age of ne versis old string.

    Could be batch to batch or regional variation. I've had the same problem when I purchased a single pack ZM62 from a local store which felt rubbery as compared to from Eric in TW. Weird.

    different feeling, 66UM is softer, higher repulsion. I find it has a bigger snap, less feel than the 66 Fire.
    The closest comparison to yonex imo would be the BG80 Power

    I didn't like 66 fire or firepower. Nothing about it was on par with my normal strings, ln1 or bg80. 62fire is nice though but #1 is still tops.

    I hear you - Gosen's QC is... ropey, I reckon. My X110 reels all had those little coating nicks; it just took me ages to get to the point where they actually mattered.

    I'd love too but not available here in Vietnam. I always buy in bulk when I go back home for visits as all I see here is Yonex and Victor mostly, with some apacs sprinkled in. I've heard the Zymax will be available soon as well but I haven't seen it here personally.
