true......it is a hybrid of technologies-----> lol But cooler says it is crap anyways. pity it looks ok, Someone who is color blind may fall for it.
I feel the same way I have both type X and S strung with BG75ti @ 24 lbs. The Type X does pack a lot of punch but does feel a little clumsy. I just started using the Type S and I feel what Ants said was accurate that Type S should be known for Speed it feels lighter and quicker that the X yet still packs quite the punch, must be the Elastic Ti
check out the other rackets on that site.. lol... NS1600 NS3000 AT1000 AT5000 AT4000 AT600 AT Ti20000 AT400 Namixilie 1900 I want the AT Ti20000 to show off LOL
sorry for double posting When you say the racket is clumsy due to heavy weight, what are you comparing it with? because compared to my AT800DE, MP100 and AT800OF feel really clumsy... but compared to NS8000, AT800DE feels a bit heavy too but all of these rackets feel like feathers compared to my steel destruct-o-racket
I have yellow BG80 and up until friday had a flurencent Yellow grip but had to change it. Looks amazing. Just order 2 more 9000's but shop in belgium dont have yellow BG80 they have BLUE!!!! See how this looks!
I can post pictures of BG80 Yellow strings but as I said had to change grip. Ill put them up later today. Cant wait to see BG80 blue though. Wont get them til April though when a friend brings them over from Germany
can u verify how much lighter is the S compared to X? what versions do u have? 3ug4 or 2ug4? I really wonder. Maybe I should go get the S version too.
I am comparing a nano9k X 3ug4 version strung with BG68ti @ 24# to the Nano8k 3ug4 version strung with BG68ti @ 24#. The nano9k X is clumsy in the above scenario. The nano9k X 3ug4 version compared to a original Cab 20 2ug4 racket also feels a lot heavier. Note that 2u rackets are heavier than 3u rackets. But in this case it's false. I wonder if my NS9k X at 3ug4 is actually a NS9k 2ug4 thats is misslabled as a 3ug4.
That's very peculiar having never tried Cab 20 nor ns9k, I can't say much, but might it be a possible manufacturing error? because most people dont experience the same thing
So...which is the lighter raquect ns9k X 3u, ns9k X 2u, ns9k S 3u, ns9k S 2u?? ( the 3u version is more ligh than 2u of course but.....) i have a big confuse
So where is this racket out on display now and where will it be first released? im just curious because my mom is going to Indonesia this Sunday and will buy me a new racket while shes there and i want to get this racket there instead of me buying it online and importing it.
do you know what stores specifically? anyways, i figured it might just be a little bit cheaper if i buy it from indonesia. please correct me if im wrong.
Bomba http://www.badmintonalley.com/Yonex_Nano_Speed_9000_p/racket-yonex-ns9000.htm <-- here ya go. It used to be in stock, now it saids pre-order. Well I spoke a bit too soon. The NS9K's US is only available in G4 only. If you need another size, you will have to shop at a different country such as Indonesia, Canada and so on. I'm going to get mine in Canada since I need a G5(plus it's local for me).
Strider, I'm going to get it at Tad's when it arrives. The price is unknown until it actually arrives.
I finally got a chance to hit the X and S in detail. Both are decent rackets but the color scheme is weird. For heavy hitters, the X is a dream or close to it. It's an impressive racket all around. I prefer the X. The S is too light for me but is good for those who don't want/can't maximize their power with extra stiff racket. Overall, I think Yonex did a very good job with the NS9000 in terms of performance. Hopefully the durability is improved but I doubt that with the extra holes they added at the 2 and 10 o'clock positions. My only real gripes are yet another new stringing pattern to learn, the color scheme and the increased price. The 7000 and 8000 look good and the 9000 got hit with the ugly stick.
