Thus might be a stupid question but what are the differences between the different coded rackets.

I have a UK 9000 i bought at the AE in Jan and am about to order 2 GR coded rackets.

Why the different prices just for country codes?

There have been many threads discussing the topic
some people believe that all of the rackets are made equal, and country codes make rackets differ in price because of each country's economic status, market size, and cost of living... etc

some people think there is a difference between the country codes where certain rackets are made better (JP, CN, CH especially) than others.

Personally I buy watever is most convenient and cheap :p (in my case TW)

Agree, those grips look schweeet! However, the closeness of the string holes, that's a bit scary. Hopefully that doesn't weaken the frame too much.

    I'm sure Yonex did its R&D. ;) ...:p

The blue grip is a Yonex Ti 3000 EP and the silvery/gray is Ti 4000 SPO. Both weigh under 20 grams and is 1100 x 25mm x 1.8 mm. Look and feel great. These grips cost more, so only good when playing socially not requiring changing too often.

Went through a lot of $3-$5 grips from Ashaway, Pacific, Protech, Flybo etc. which are great functionally but didn't look as quite as good.

    Hi DinkAlot,

I didn't understand what you meant by "closeness of the string holes". To me, I thought it was similar to other rackets. And also, how would it weaken the frame.

Also what does "R&D" stand for? Retail and distribute? Restring and demo?

Sorry.. new to the site.. not so sure about the lingo used here.

    its not BF/BC lingo.
R&D basically stands for research and development.

If you look at the cross strings (top 4) you can see they have their own hole and the main strings near it have their own.......they do not share holes....like some other rackes, some holes are still shared however.

Thus meaning more holes in the racket in those positions that are very close together........can make it weaker or does......I think yonex use the 'fullerene' , 'Nanotubes'..........in those areas to improve strenth.........if it is in the racket at all?

isn't it the same as the AT800s and NS8000 series? (the 2 small holes for main and cross separated)

I thought yonex said it adds to the strength in the construction of the racket? It's nothing new

I have tried the real nano9k X out. It does pack a lot of punch in smashing. But, the reacket is very clumsy due to its heavy weight, thicker shaft, and bulkier isometric head. The racket would be perfect if Yonex can reduce the racket's weight by use of a slimmer shaft and slimmer isometric head like that of the Nano8k. New bees and average joe players should stay away from this racket. I wonder if the Nano9k S is a bit different. Any input?

I have recieved the Yonex Catalog 2006, which lists the correct tentions. Notice they put a sticker on top of the original print which had the error.
